A luxury, 17th Century thatched Devon bolt-hole on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Renovated in 2018, this two person cottage oozes character and charm, while being a true luxury getaway. There's a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a cosy TV room with woodburner, a well equipped kitchen and a light, sunny dining room for enjoying the countryside views. Great walks from the doorstep and good pubs nearby. Guests get 5% off tours and wine at nearby Swanaford Vineyard. The space This 17th Century, listed thatched cottage is an escape-to-the-country dream. Upstairs is stunning bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with built-in wadrobes, bath and separate shower. Perfect for lazing in bed and watching telly on a Sunday morning. The Scandi inspired sitting room has a comfy sofa for evenings in front of the wood burner, with big HD TV included. The kitchen has a range cooker, belfast sink and beautiful handmade units - equipped to cook everything from a delicious dinner to a Sunday roast. Then through to the dining room, which has huge oak framed windows, with views across the valley and two comfy chairs to gaze at the view or watch telly on a sunny day. The dining room table seats 4, so if you have booked neighbouring Rose Cottage with friends everyone can get together to eat. Out the door there are two terraces to soak up the sun and views. Guest access The cottage has two paved terraces that catch the sun at different times of the day, perfect for a glass of wine on a sunny evening. There is access to the surrounding fields for dog walks or head down to the river for a bbq or a swim. There is parking directly outside the cottage and it is accessed by its own drive off the main road, shared with the next door cottage. Other things to note We are happy to welcome dogs to West Park Cottage. The garden is not fenced however the cottage is surrounded by fields. Please note the staircase is the original one, the cottage is listed, so it is steep and uneven. And the ceilings are low in some rooms .
