A beautiful, newly-restored classic Lake Como house, perfectly positioned on the lakefront of Lenno in the sought-after Tremezzina area. Less than 200m walk to the ferry to Bellagio, Varenna and the medieval walled city of Como. The timeless Villa Balbianello and Villa Balbiano are a short stroll away. Relax with friends or a book and an aperitivo in an elegant 1920s stucco-ceiling living room, curtains billowing in the lake breeze... Pure Como. The space This historic, stylish, top-floor apartment dating from 1925 is one of only two in the building, offers a spacious layout featuring a large entrance hall. There are two generously sized bedrooms with premium Italian-designed memory foam beds, and a stunning master bathroom with a full lake view and a walk-in shower. The elegant living area includes a Fantin-designed kitchen and opens onto a small private balcony—perfect for relaxing with a drink or dining al fresco. A foldable antique dining table is also provided for added flexibility. For larger groups, the two apartments within the same building can be rented together to accommodate 10–12 guests, subject to availability. Guest access We have one free parking place for guests, just 20m from the apartment steps (due to a local market it is not available on Tuesdays before 4PM, but we can suggest alternatives). Leave your car and take a short stroll along the traffic-free lakeside promenade, perfect for families with small kids or those who want to eat out without the hassle of driving and parking. Or if you are feeling adventurous, set out for an short hike along the Greenway path to explore the hills and vantage points around Lake Como. UNESCO World Heritage Site 'Madonna di Sorcorso' is 30-40 mintues walk away and just beyond that, you will find forgotten rural hamlet, mountain paths, forest streams and undisturbed wildlife. For the less energetic, just relax around the lake and take one of Lenno’s famous artisanal ice-cream (La Fabbrica Del Gelato) or book a private water taxi to Bellagio and Varenna for the day and be picked up on your doorstep. No traffic jams or long uphill walks home at the end of the day. No need to even cross a road if you don’t want to… Other things to note The apartment is in a prime lakefront position in the centre of historical Lenno in the exclusive central Lake Como area. The area is popular for walking (Lake Como 10km “Greenway” passes in front), popular for private boating and has several good restaurants & cafes in the vicinity. It is a lively and bustling area during the high season so there may be some noise from the street below. We also recommend to book the restaurants you like in advance during the summer season. If you need a taxi please consider to book it a week ahead too. Lake Como is beautiful all year round, but it is traditionally a seasonal destination, with the peak in July-August. During the quieter winter season (especially January-March) some but not all local restaurants and businesses will close down. We highly recommend a visit in the low season to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the lake, without the crowds, and we can recommend some special itineraries.
