The Surrounding Space: Guests can enjoy widespread and sandy beaches, beach bars and taverns, starting at Petres village, all the way to Georgioupolis village, 10 km away. At Petres beach, just 20 meters away, our guests can enjoy our private sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Local restaurants with Greek cuisine can be found in the area. There is also a diving centre located just 300 m away. Lake Kournas, only 10 km away, offers a stunning view of the famous lake, alongside multiple local Greek taverns one can choose from. Rethymno town, only 10 km away, is the third largest city of Crete, where you can find restaurants, shops, bars, go for sightseeing, or experience the Greek nightlife. The Apartment: Apartment 5 consists of one bedroom with a double bed, balcony, bathroom and kitchenette, equipped with essential kitchen utensils. All of our apartments have balconies overlooking the sea, and mountain view on the other side. The apartments are all on ground floor. Our green exterior space is for all our guests to enjoy. Supermarkets: 4 km away in Episkopi Village (by car) 6 km away in Kavros village (by car or bus) 10 km away in Rethymno town (by car or bus) Exploring Crete: Renting a car is recommended if one wishes to explore more of the nearby areas. There is, however, also a bus station nearby connecting to three main cities of Crete: Rethymno, Chania and Heraklion, leaving approximately once every hour. Famous and beautiful destinations to consider for a one-day trip include: Elafonisi beach, Balos Lagoon, Matala caves, Preveli beach, Knossos ruins, Samaria for hiking, Agios Nikolaos village. The Airports: The closest airport to Petres is Chania airport, approximately 50 km away. Heraklion airport is approximately 90 km away. Guests can reach the apartments from the airport by either bus, taxi or rental car.
