Description
One out of our five delicately renovated apartments located on the last floor of a charming, characterful farmhouse. It is one of the oldest buildings of a cosy little village in the Valle d’Isarco in Northern Italy. We find ourselves right in the center of sun-blessed South Tyrol, on a hilltop at the entrance of the Gardena and Funes valleys. Close to the dolomites mountains but not far away from the popular towns of Bolzano and Bressanone it is an ideal starting point to explore the region. The space The apartment is situated in a historic farmhouse under urban heritage protection. This truly unique building - characterised by its uneven walls and doors, its graceful vaults, arcs and passages - has been shaped and reshaped again throughout the centuries. The farmhouse was uninhabited for nearly thirty years before we started a very thorough renovation in 2018. We have done everything possible to preserve the invaluable historic substance. Set in a stark contrast with the historic building we have furnished the apartment with the modern, contemporary furniture of the interior design wizards from Lago.Design. The apartment no.5 is a spacious loft on the attic floor of the historic farmhouse, composed of three rooms. Through the entrance door, you access the extensive living area. Dark brown wooden beams give this rooms a very special framing and at the same time serve as dividing elements. The beams divide the white kitchen block from the living area with its big dining table, a sofa and a lounge space. Walking through a door in the glass facade, you can access a wooden balcony with superb views over the village and the surrounding mountains. To the left side of the entrance, you access the bed room and the adjoining bath room, furnished with Italian marble Pietra Piasentina, which literally means "a stone that pleases the eye”. We think its a name well deserved. The apartment is not suited for toddlers and small kids. In case you are traveling with kids, please contact us before making a reservation. Guest access After climbing an external stair case you will access the house through the main door and enter into the shared foyer on the first floor. Your apartment is on the third floor, following the indoor staircase and is marked as apartment no. 5. Your apartment is separated with an apartment door. You will have all rooms of the apartment to yourself, no other guest has access to the apartment's rooms. In addition to your apartment, you will also have access to a 500 square meter private garden with sitting areas, pergolas, trees and fountains. You will share the garden with the other guests of our house. Other things to note To access your apartment you will need to climb stairs. It is a historic building with no elevator. Please do not open/close the roof windows manually. There is a remote control on the wall in the bedroom to open and close the roof windows and blinds. It is essential that they are operated only with the remote control, because in this way, when it starts to rain, a sensor will be activated and close the window preventively. Please do not place hot pans on the kitchen surface. The surface is not heat resistant. Please do not remove shampoo, body wash, cream or detergent bottles, even if they are empty. All bottles are refillable and will thus need to be paid in case they are missing. Registration Details IT021022B5HJZF6OAK
