Our lovely suite will be your home away from home in Washington, DC. I'm offering a beautiful 1 bedroom suite with it's own living room and private bath. The bedroom contains one queen-sized bed, a generous desk and ample storage. The living room in the suite contains one fold out sofa bed, suitable for one small adult or two children. My home is in the heart of Friendship Heights in Washington, DC. Within one block you'll find multiple entrances to the metro system, shopping and restaurants galore, including Bloomingdale's, Marshall's, Whole Foods, Saks, and much more. The suite is on the third floor of my home, which can be accessed by elevator or stairs. (Please see note under "Other things to note", regarding accessibility.) Rate includes continental breakfast items for your stay. While we have loved to spend time with our guests for the past eight years, due to current Covid-19 concerns, we have provided a mini fridge/freezer as well as a hot water kettle in your room. This will allow you to be self-sufficient in your suite. If you do need to do laundry, that is shared, however. We hope you'll make yourself at home with us! I Parking is availble close by on the street and, during the week, I will lend guests a pass allowing them to park without getting a ticket. While we enjoy getting to know our guests, we understand that you may want just a little peace and quiet! We are here to ensure that you get the experience that YOU want! We love the easy access to EVERYTHING! Whether you need something for your body or soul, you'll find it within one or two blocks from our house! Five minute walk will get you to the Friendship Heights metro station, on the red line. Just an easy ride down to all the sights in DC! Also, an easy ride north to NIH, Navy Medical, Walter Reed in Bethesda. Our home has many conveniences for those who are disabled, however, it is NOT considered truly accessible. While we do have a stairless entry and an elevator, neither the elevator nor the bathroom would meet the needs of one in a wheelchair. (My husband is in a chair, so I know how tight it is!). The conveniences make it ideal for someone who has had surgery or has joint issues, or uses a walker.
