The space We welcome you and up to 6 of your family / friends to unwind, have fun and create memories in our super cosy, “Airbnb guest-favourite” 3 bedroom cottage with a Mediterranean-inspired turquoise pool with palm trees, BBQ and comfy, outdoor alfresco lounge area, in a sprawling private estate, right in the heart of the Hunter Valley. - Bursting with charm and amazing views, Sunset Estate is located in Hunter’s picturesque Lovedale region, surrounded by multi-million dollar winery estates and opposite a Hunter-favourite horse riding and adventure estate where you can ride the unique and beautiful Molly Morgan Ranges. - Step inside and be whisked away to a fresh, clean and entertainment-friendly space full of light and cosy comfort. - The gorgeous outdoor pool and alfresco area invites you to lounge outside, cool off in the crystal pool, drink up those Insta-worthy sunset views and cold beverages and enjoy a BBQ and the company of your family / friends, whilst taking in the breathtaking views across 25 acres of park-like grounds and a fully fenced dam. - Located on a no-through road means that you won’t have a constant flow of passing through traffic, while having the convenience of being a stone’s throw away from multiple cellar doors, restaurants and wedding venues, which will offer you and your guests ample, nearby choices for your wine tasting, brunch or celebratory event. - When you arrive you’ll be greeted by the resident farm menagerie, headed by a classic shaggy Highlander bull named Diesel (he is engaging and curious but please look out for those horns as he doesn’t like to be touched), a family of miniature goats named: Axl (dad - he is the bigger grey haired ram with a white heart-shape on his stomach and he often head-butts Diesel?!), Sugar and Spice (two bigger blond females - twin mums), Cheeky (mum - the pretty brown goat), Slash (Cheeky’s big black and white son with a fringe), Arnie (Cheeky’s mini-me brown son), Elvis (Sugar’s baby son with mini-Axl colouring), Spot and Belle (smaller white twins), Cranky (Cheeky’s black son) and a miniature horse named Lacy. Sometimes just watching them can be both relaxing and entertaining. - The grounds are regularly shared with mobs of kangaroos, black swans, purple swamphen and other wildlife who visit the large dams. - For the kids and the kids-at-heart there is an XXL trampoline with a basketball hoop that can provide loads of energy-burning entertainment during the day or relaxing star-gazing lounge space at night. - In the book nook in the lounge room, there is a visitors brochures board with dozens of local food, wine, entertainment, adventure and transportation providers; as well as some truth or dare games that can offer hours of cheeky fun, as well as monopoly, some board games for kids and some guest-selected books. - For some local recommendations about cafes, restaurants, wineries and activities / sightseeing, please click on “Show more” within the “Where you’ll be” section in this listing and you’ll see at the bottom a link to our personalised Guidebook for the “Best of the Hunter Valley”. - If you are booking a helicopter excursion, they can land and pick you up and drop you off directly from the property. Please give us advance notice so we can provide our permission directly to the helicopter operator. - A complimentary welcome gift awaits your arrival: a hand picked bottle of wine from one of the neighbouring wineries with some nibbles. Guest access You can drive to surrounding wineries and events, get picked up by a taxi, private tour group van, limousine or a helicopter directly from your doorstep. Event-organised buses stop right outside the front gate. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE - our house is not suitable for schoolies, parties, bucks or hens nights NOISE: We do not host weddings, bucks, hens or footy weekends. We understand that every group is different but we have been let down too many times and we do not make exemptions. The property is located in a rural residential area and the Council regulates noise after 10pm to ensure the Hunter Valley remains attractive for all and neighbours aren’t disturbed.
