The space Our place is in a quiet, family residential area. It is not on the water or beach. The home is 15 minutes from the beach, 5 miles from the Daytona International Airport and Daytona 500 International Speedway, 60 miles from Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, 70 miles from the Kennedy Space Center, 80 miles from St Augustine, and close to local family-friendly activities such as the turtle/animal rescue which is part of the Marine Science Center (100 Lighthouse Drive, Ponce Inlet, FL 32127) and the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum (4931 S. Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet, FL 32127). When conditions are right, you may be able to see Spacex or other launches from the Kennedy Space Center from the sidewalk looking at the front of the house and to the left side of the garage. To open, enter the code and while the green light is blinking, turn the knob counterclockwise which unlocks the lock. Use the door handle to open and push the door open. To leave, enter the code and while the green light is blinking, turn the knob clockwise to bolt the door. To lock from the inside just turn the knob counterclockwise to bolt the door. You can access the backyard through the back porch. You will not have keys to the gates of the fence around the perimeter. You may use the garage but you will not have a garage door opener. Other things to note Many shopping/grocery (Walmart) stores and restaurants are on Dunlawton Ave. Take Franklin Drive, left on Tracy Drive, right on Willow Run, right on Clyde Morris, right or left on Dunlawton Avenue. BJ's and LA Fitness are just before I-95. Walmart is at Clyde Morris and Dunlawton. Enjoy shopping, restaurants and movies at The Pavilion. The entrance is past I-95 and right on Williamson Road. Access the beach called Daytona Beach Shores: Left on Dunlawton Avenue; cross the bridge, then cross South Atlantic Avenue and the entrance to the beach is right there (4-5 miles)! OR for Daytona Beach, make a left onto South Atlantic Avenue and continue to Daytona Beach. Park at the Ocean Walk Village parking garage off of Ora Street which is 6 miles from your turn onto South Atlantic Avenue and Dunlawton Avenue. The State of Florida requires a certificate (Certificate Number is posted in the kitchen) to collect taxes at this property. Airbnb will collect Florida state tax (6.5%) and Volusia County tourism tax (6%) at the time you book this rental. A one-time basic cleaning fee of $125.00 is added to your cost. The cleaning fee is due to the fact that it takes a few hours to clean the home, sometimes more depending on the amount of people renting. Basic cleaning is vacuum carpets and floors, laundry of linens and towels, and dusting and cleaning the bathrooms. A $200 security deposit is collected only when there is cleaning above and beyond basic cleaning or something has been found missing, broken or damaged. The owner will contact the renter regarding the issue, make the repair and present pictures or proof and receipts for payment from the renter through Airbnb. The deposit is not included in the rental fees when you book the house.
