Marifjøra Sea Bows

Four nice cottages in "rorbu" style, built for the 1996 season, right by the fjord in the owners garden at Marifjøra. Fine view in over the fjord to Gaupne and out towards the mountains and Feigumfossen waterfall. Guests can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view, fish in the fjord (rowboat with outboard can be hierd and fishing equipment borrowed) or take car tour through beautiful scenery. Many hiking trips on foot (here from Marifjøra to Molden) and by car along the fjord and via avenues to mountains and valleys, which mark stiar leads into powerful mountain areas in Breheimen and Jotunheimen - but also trips to famous attractions (Jostedalsbreen, Breheimsenteret, Sognefjellet, Urnes Stave Church). The ski center is 8 km from Marifjøra. Church is on Urnes (45km), where you take ferry from Solvorn to Urnes.   New bathing facilities in Gaupne (Lustrabadet) are just 3 km from Marifjøra.   Jostedalen Breførar Lag offers tours on Europe's largest mainland, Jostedalsbreen. The center of Nigardsbreen is 30 minutes by car from Marifjøra and is a popular attraction. In Jostedalen you can also find ICETROLL which offers kayaking tours, as well as hiking on the glacier. Leirdalen Bre and Juv also offers guided tours on the glacier, as well as Juving in the river Jostedøla.  Molden give you the best view in all of Luster municipality. The mountain offers imaginative panoramic views of the fjord, Breheimen and Jotunheimen. Marked trail runs from Marifjøra (day trip), but you can also walk from Mollandsmarki. Other things to note Nice starting point for skiing in groomed trails and slopes in Luster and Sogndal. For those who like peak tours there is an Eldorado in both Breheimen and Vest Jotunheimen.
