This fully furnished house is located in Colonia Reforma neighborhood, just north of the Historical Center. The house is a mere 30 minutes walk from iconic Santo Domingo Church (1.4 miles) and 35 minutes walk from the Zocalo. Public transportation to the city center is readily available within a couple of blocks. The house is located within walking distance of big box stores and the traditional Hidalgo Market, where fresh produce and traditional Oaxacan delicacies are available. The fully equipped kitchen allows those with a culinary interest to experiment with the wide variety of ingredients that make Oaxacan food unique. The open floor plan of the house is modern and offers ample space. The spacious living room/ dining room has direct access to a small private patio. The main bedroom, features and en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. The additional bathroom is shared by the remaining two bedrooms. Guests can enjoy Oaxaca's sun or relax during the evening on the private roof terrace. The Owner/Manager and her husband, both certified tourist guides, live across the street, and will gladly assist you with recommendations for restaurants, attractions and directions to places of interest. Developed in the 1950's as a residential area "outside the city" for Oaxaca's upper and middle class, during the last coupled of decades, the Colonia Reforma has become Oaxaca's "second center" . The neighborhood presents a mosaic of modern residential buildings, banks, public offices, a wide variety of small stores and several worthy restaurants and cafes. Along with the historic center, the neighborhood is one Oaxaca's safest. -The house is located at about 30 minutes walking distance from the historic center (2.3km/1.4 miles walk to Santo Domingo Church). -Bus stop 200m from the house, taxis are also available at this stop. - 15 minutes walk to First class buss terminal (ADO). - Enclosed parking space is available for guests that bring their own car. A limited amount of stairs (2 flights of 5 steps), makes the house suitable for guests with limited mobility or families with small children.
