Outside is a sunny, private patio area. Fast Wi-Fi, with smart tv's on each floor. Dog friendly! The space We have lovingly restored and extended our fisherman's cottage, to provide a homely relaxing space for our guests to enjoy. Set over three floors, there is a bedroom with a king size bed, a smart TV, and off of the bedroom is the modern en suite shower room. On the ground level is a cosy living area hosting a smart TV with Netflix/Prime/Now TV and a DVD player, a beautifully restored fireplace with wood burning stove and comfortable sofa and chairs. In the basement is the light and airy kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances, dishwasher, washing machine and Nespresso, the dining table and a further smart TV. There is also a large sofa for relaxing and a downstairs loo. The kitchen opens on to a small private courtyard area which is south facing. There is fast broadband/wifi throughout and a hairdryer, high chair, ironing board and iron available. Dogs are most welcome! The cottage is a short walk into the harbour where there are numerous award winning restaurants; Cantina, Amelie's, The Square, Kota and Kota Kai, as well as excellent pubs and cafes. There is a fantastic community spirit in Porthleven; if your lucky to be there in the summer on a Sunday, don't miss the local brass band playing, or you can while away the time watching the boats in the harbour or children jumping into the sea whilst enjoying a G&T or ice-cream! There are regular boat trips from the harbour, plus paddle boarding in Porthleven and surf lessons close by at Praa Sands. We have a great local beach with the iconic Clock Tower at its head, plus there are amazing and contrasting beaches all within a short drive away. Our favourites include Kynance Cove, Dollar and Church Cove (for Poldark and Doc Martin fans) and we are in easy reach of Mullion, Lands End, Sennen, Cape Cornwall, Zennor and historic mining country around Botallack. The other side of The Lizard is Coverack, Cadgwith Cove and the Helford River with numerous coves and sandy beaches. It is very easy to get off the beaten track in our area and find a spot all for yourselves. We have fantastic close walks around the Penrose estate and Loe pool. Within a half an hour drive north is St Ives, or you can park and take the spectacular train journey from Lelant or St Erth. Nearby Hayle boasts some spectacular beaches with Porthkidney a favourite as it is dog friendly all year round, as is Porthleven beach (East side) and many others locally including Dollar Cove, Rinsey and Keneggy Sands. Guest access You have full private use of the house. Other things to note There is no private designated parking. Our road is primarily residential, with some holiday lets, and parking cannot be guaranteed right outside the cottage.
