Chateau Breduriere - Gite La Chantonnay

Domaine de la Bredurière is a charming estate of 6ha. only a 30 minutes drive from the beautiful Atlantic coast and her sunny sandbeaches. There is a large heated swimmingpool. The Vendée has a pleasant climate with almost as much sunhours as Côte d’Azur. The historic buildings such as the dovecote,stables,dogkennel,holy spring and winery make the ancient history of this extraordinary place undeniable. The space This gîte offers exclusive luxury through a creative blend of modern and old styles. This large house is composed of three bedrooms and offers a real comfort. This lodge is next to a pigeon tower and offers a view on the hills. The house is an old building that has been renewed in an authentic style while keeping some old features. The interior design is modern, stylish and comfortable. The house is exposed to the sun and is located in the middle of the terrain, 60 meters walking from the big heated pool. The gîte has a surface area of 120m2, there is a garden and a sunny terrace in front of the living room. Both offer unobstructed views and great privacy. Composition: A spacious entrance with a wardrobe and toilet, a cozy living room with a fireplace and wood-burning stove. The large kitchen area is also elegantly furnished and fully equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, oven and a large fridge. 1st floor: a spacious landing with a bathroom composed of a shower, a toilet and a double sink. A large master bedroom and two bedrooms each with two single beds. All rooms are located at the front of the house and offer a beautiful view. Equipment: satellite TV, dishwasher, two wooden sun loungers, a wooden garden table with 6 chairs, a parasol and a Weber barbecue. Guest access Via a long shadefull drive you reach the estate Bredurière and are able to spot the charming castle.The estate is surrounded by a sloping landscape and a forest bordered by a small river. The castletower has a breathtaking view of the surroundings that even reaches the coast. The 17th century dovecote is restaurated and still functional.The doves of Bredurière fly in an out the tower when not peacefully circling it. Via a spiraling staircase you can have a peak in the nesting places of the pidgeon house. The “sacred” spring on the estate is part of a pelgrimage to Santiago de Compostella and is one of the special places of Brédurière. The old stables are still intact and are sometimes used by guests. The henhouse and pigshed are being restored to their old function. On the edge of the forest is the dog-kennel of the old castle. It is still in original state but currently being used as a playground. Around the kennel there is a trampoline, swingset, pingpong-table and a small soccerfield. On the courtyard next to the entrance to the pool is the ‘jeu de boules’-lane. The large heated pool (100m2) is completely walled-in and centrally situated on the estate. Because of the old walls, olive trees and lavender, the pool has a typical southern appearance and is a lovely place to relax and cool off.
