Argentenay. A Family House

A haven of peace, located in a quiet valley, on the banks of the Armançon and the Burgundy Canal, Argentenay is an authentic Burgundian family home. Since the acquisition of Argentenay under Napoleon III by my great-great-grandfather, Eugène Bonnamy, Master of Forges, generations of bon vivants, lovers of the pleasures of the table and the surrounding countryside, have left in this house that they all loved, the trace of their history. They gave it a soul. The space We provide guests with: A kitchen/dining room equipped for 2 people, overlooking the small private terrace, garden side. A small adjoining living room, which also overlooks this terrace. And a large bedroom upstairs, with a view of the garden, private bathroom and toilet. It is accessed through the large vestibule. (The latter is not private) Closed parking and access to the garden. The bed is prepared, linen provided as well as toiletries. We do not serve breakfast, but offer a "breakfast basket" on request, which allows our guests to prepare a full breakfast, at a time that suits them (tea, coffee, milk, juice, bread, eggs, jam, butter, etc.). We wanted to keep the rooms in their original style. Wallpaper and collectible fabrics, family furniture, each object bears the memory of those who lived there. We have discreetly integrated all modern comforts. Large and bright, the room will offer you beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
