Carla's Cottage
Carla's Cottage
Description
This little cottage is a Rock Island Historic house. Nestled among the large Victorians, it was built in 1879 and housed various workers, from a blacksmith, to a wallpaper hanger! Located just blocks from the Mississippi River you can walk along a paved bike path with gorgeous views. In the evening enjoy the vibrant nightlife, with music and a dinner playhouse! This tiny historic cottage is great for a quick night, but perfect for class reunions, weddings and the John Deer Classic! The space This Historic home was called the Workers cottage. Since I bought it last year I have refurbished it so others could enjoy it as an airbnb. Be the first to enjoy the charm of this quaint cottage in the Broadway Historic Neighborhood! We love it, and hope you will too! Note: has very steep stairs to the upstairs bedroom! Guest access The entire house is yours. Be aware, because of the tiny size, the stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom are steep! keyless entry let's you in anytime you arrive! Other things to note The address on the map is wrong. I cant change it unless I make a new listing. Some eagle eye guest noticed the signage on the cottage didnt match the map address! I can only chalk it up to old age! The address is: 1915 9th ave. It's a small green house with wood shake shingles. You can park in the skinny drive (I think it's made for a model T !!) Or on the road! I prefer driveway myself! Enjoy!
