Welcome to Terrapin Station, an impeccably renovated 1950s Folly Beach cottage. A renovation completed in 2019 took this house to the studs and transformed it into a modern, functional beach retreat. Custom wood work throughout the house using reclaimed wood—supplied by our friends at Carolina Lumber Sourcing—makes this house warm and inviting. The space embodies the unique, relaxing, and funky vibe that is Folly Beach. Make yourself at home at Terrapin Station and enjoy the Folly lifestyle. The space Just a few blocks from the beach and Folly's lively Center Street, Terrapin Station has three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a sectional sofa in the living room. The main living area is an open concept that consists of a kitchen, dining area, and living room. Terrapin Station has plenty of outdoor living space as well, including a large deck with a giant picnic table—perfect for alfresco dining under the trees—and a large screened porch on the ground level where you can relax after a day on the beach. There is a large 2-stall outdoor shower located under the deck adjacent to the screened porch. There is also a large yard with plenty of room for outdoor activities. The kitchen has lots of marble counter space and is fully stocked with ample glasses and dishware, as well as a toaster, a Keurig coffee maker, and a blender. After a day on the beach, sit back and enjoy our WiFi and cable on a large flatscreen TV. This beach house underwent a complete renovation in 2018/2019 (new kitchen, new bathroom, new floors, new HVAC, new plumbing, new wiring, new everything!) and has been furnished and stocked with everything to make your vacation comfortable and enjoyable. Although conveniently located to Center Street, which is the heart of Folly Beach, this beach retreat is located on a quiet street, which is home to mostly year round residents. If you are looking to party, this is not the house for you. We have a strict “no party” policy, and there is absolutely NO SMOKING in the house. We are pet friendly but have a maximum limit of 2 pets with a non-refundable pet fee of $125 per pet. Guest access is limited on the lower floor to the screen porch, outdoor shower, and laundry room. The remainder of the lower floor is used for storage by the owners. Other things to note *IMPORTANT* Although the address to our property is 406 E. Huron Ave. The driveway, parking and main entry is located in the back of the house on E. Indian Ave. Directions--- Once on Folly turn left on E. Huron Ave. (just before the Circle K gas station). Next you are going to turn left on 4th St, then take an immediate right on to E. Indian Ave. Our house is the 3rd house on your right with the bright blue door!
