Modern amenities include mini split heater & air conditioning and electric “fireplace” heater, and an instant hot water heater. The space It's set back from the street to the rear of the main house so it's tranquil and relatively private. Soaring ceilings with skylights infuse the space with great natural light. There's great character to the living space. Spacious, remodeled kitchen & bath, walk-in closet & a work space make it a comfortable space to enjoy and explore the tranquil location in Berkeley. It’s furnished with a comfortable queen bed, Room & Board sofa, a round dining table, a Midcentury modern dresser, a desk & chair. As of mid-January, bed sheets and towels are new. There is no door between the bedroom and living room, only a doorway. I think it flows better this way. The washer & dryers are accessed in the basement of the main house. Guest access Guests can access a lockbox on the front door. Code will be provided within 24 hours of check in. Lockbox may be removed from the door once guest has checked in and will need to be put back upon check out. The brick walkway is uneven and the concrete driveway leading to the rear cottage has cracks so please take caution. Other things to note This is a rear cottage separated by a yard from the front house occupied by a nice lady. Shared amenities* : Washer and dryer in the basement of the front house & the garbage bins. We take the current pandemic seriously. Upon booking this cottage, you must sanitize/wipe down areas before and after use of shared amenities, to minimize potential transmission. Kindly acknowledge that you will comply when booking.
