Easter Cottage is a stone built terraced house between the pretty village of Berrynarbor and the town of Ilfracombe. There are beautiful sea views from bedrooms 1 & 3, and from the rear garden, with the Brecon Beacons / Pembrokeshire on the horizon. We have a small spa with a free standing bath in our seaward facing garden room. In the front garden are coffee table/chairs, and in the rear garden table & chairs and summerhouse. (Booking is defaulted to 7 days, please message us for alternatives) The space The property is a traditional stone built cottage believed to date from the 19th century. The house has recently been modernised with new appliances, new flooring, furniture, WiFi, and upgraded central heating, together with installation of PV solar panels and pressurised hot water tank. On the ground floor are sitting and dining rooms, kitchen, the bathroom and bedrooms are on the first floor. At the back of the house we also have a garden room looking towards the sea, featuring our mini spa with free standing bath. There is also a utility cupboard to the rear of the spa, with freezer and washing machine. At the end of the rear garden is our sea view summer house. Bedrooms 1 and 2 feature vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses, whilst the living room and dining room have exposed beams. In detail : The living room is provided with a Smart TV and a DVD player, large sofa and two armchairs The dining room has an oval table with seating for up to 6 The kitchen is equipped with a Zanussi induction hob cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a washing machine and clothes airer in the garden room (accessed via the rear garden) which also has space for storage of surfboards, wetsuits, bicycles, etc. The bathroom features generous newly installed shower; electric towel rail. Travel cot and stair gates are available if required. Accessibility : Ground floor access and movement is step free. There is one step up to the rear garden lawn. All bedrooms are on the first floor, accessed via the stairs. Bedroom 1 the master bedroom is double aspect with rural inland views to the south over farm and pastureland and sea views to the rear. It is furnished with a Superking bed, wardrobe, and dressing table; Bedroom 2 has rural inland views to the south over farm and pastureland . It has twin single beds which can also be linked to form a full size Superking, also with wardrobe and dressing table, Bedroom 3 has seaviews over the rear garden. It has a single bed with under-bed drawers and cupboards, and compact dressing table / clothes hanger Nearby : Numerous beaches (e.g. Croyde, Woollacombe, Saunton, Broadsands), South West Coast path, Berrynarbor village (Olde Globe pub, shop etc), Hele Bay (beach, pub, cafe, tea rooms, fuel/shop), Ilfracombe town (numerous shops, bars, teashops, restaurants, cinema, Damien Hirsts famous 'Verity' statue, harbour, fresh fish sales, 25m swimming pool, takeaways, supermarkets etc) Please note : The lane is narrow where it passes the property. Whilst the width is just adequate for loading/unloading, with space for another car to pass, the nearest parking is approximately 167metres away, where the lane widens out.
