Using the local orbital pathway, it is approximately, a 20min walk to the main street. Close to the Speyside Way, The Birdhouse is a great base for all outdoor activities or relaxing in a pretty home in quiet surroundings. The house is a short 10 min walk from the nearest shops with supermarket & takeaway. The space The Birdhouse is lucky to be surrounded by woodland, which is a haven for Wood Peckers, Goldfinches and many more birds. The large living room window provides a great view of the feeders in the front garden for avid bird watchers or sharing a relaxing breakfast with the birds. The Birdhouse has 2 steps up to a small porch/entrance to the livingroom with separate kitchen on the ground floor, a small table and chairs which can be pulled out and set up for dining and a spiral staircase leading to the bathroom and bedroom upstairs. The house is a few minutes walk to MacDonald Spey Valley Resort and Golf Course which has a steakhouse, bar and swimming pool open to non residents. If exploring, a little over a mile walk, using the scenic Aviemore Orbital pathway, you'll find the busy main street with traditional pubs like The Winking Owl and Cairngorm hotel which serve great food and plenty shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The house is also just a few minutes walk from a bus stop. Other things to note This is a small home. Please be sure before booking, that you are comfortable with the spiral staircase and be aware the bath has a slightly higher side than normal which must be stepped over to use the shower. Unfortunately due to certain aspects of the house it is unsuitable for babies and children under 12. The table shown in the picture, is a gate leg table. To set up, simply pull the leg out, to dine or work from as you require.
