Welcome to your beachfront retreat ♡ Bayview 170 is home to two spacious and relaxing eco-apartments nestled upon a slight terrace with vast unobstructed vistas out over Kaikoura Beach and the pacific ocean. This listing is located merely 300m from the best cafes, shops, restaurants and attractions in Kaikoura. Feast your eyes on the most gorgeous sunrises & dolphins jumping in the bay. Swim, surf, SUP, soak up the sun, unwind & let nature envelop you. The space This listing is for the slightly bigger of our two adjacent apartments, complete with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and sun-soaked open plan living with double glazed large ranchslider that opens up onto an expansive deck slightly terraced meters from the shores of the Kaikoura Beach with unobstructed views of the ocean. Here, although shared with the second apartment, you have your very own outdoor furniture and Weber BBQ for beachfront alfresco dining on those balmy nights. The deck is largely wrapped with a glass balustrade with your portion measuring approximately 5 x 8m, marginally divided by a screen to offer some privacy but to ensure the views remain panoramic. Catch exceptional sunrises in the morning from the living area, the space eludes a feeling as though you are part of the ocean. If you're visiting at the right time of the year, you can see pods of dolphins jumping in the bay and in the evenings the sun setting behind the Southern Alps casts a gorgeous colour palette across the ocean as you listen to the waves lapping the shore. Upon arrival, you will find fresh, locally hand-made ciabatta rolls with butter and a selection of spreads for your enjoyment. The master bedroom has a premium quality King bed with crisp cotton linen, Goose and Duck Down feather duvets and pillows with a woollen throw. As does the second bedroom which is a twin share with two full-sized single beds. All linen is washed at 95 degrees celsius. The bathroom is largely tiled with a redwood cedar vanity top and rainshower. There is a washing machine available and there is plentiful storage, perfect for the slow travellers planning to stay a few nights so you can fully unpack and enjoy your home away from home. Sink into the comfortable three-seater leather couch and watch a film on the flat screen smart TV and enjoy unlimited WiFi. Bayview 170 prides itself on maintaining an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to the management of the property - we recycle and re-use as much as possible, hot water is powered by the sun, our cleaning products and guest toiletries are 100% eco-friendly (Eco-store) and refillable containers are used wherever possible. Your apartment was fully renovated in 2017 by owner/builder Gary and is 100% insulated and double glazed with the use of natural products wherever possible. Quality hardwood floors make up most of the square meterage and Gary's exceptional woodwork and workmanship are evident throughout the property such as the Australian hardwood handmade dining table and outdoor paua shell water feature. We have a SUP, surfboards and bikes available for use on request. Off-road parking for one car is available at the rear of the building. We are passionate about helping you make the very most of your stay in Kaikoura - please get in touch if you would like our local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Guest access Guests have access to the bigger duplex apartment - off-street parking is available at the rear of the building and the entrance to the apartment is up the ramp and onto the deck via the ranch slider at the front. Other things to note Condiments provided: Pink Salt, Whole Corn Pepper (in grinder), Cooking Oil, sugar, normal tea and a selection of herbal teas, Tuatara plunger coffee and a small bottle of blue milk will be available. We have a very strict cleaning policy so you can rest assured your stay is safe from Covid-19: - All surfaces are wiped with 98% antibacterial wipes. - Linen is washed at 95 degrees celsius - Hand sanitiser is available at all times - Anti-bacterial handwash is available at all times. Heating: The apartment is typically very warm, however, if you require additional heating there is a wall panel heater and floor heating, which is sufficient. Parking Off-road parking for one car is available at the rear of the apartment. In addition to this, boat parking is available on request.
