Nestled among breathtaking scenery, our retreat is your perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently located between Ithaca and Trumansburg. Access everything the Finger Lakes region has to offer. Bring your bikes and furry friends—The Black Diamond Trail is right in our backyard, ready to launch your adventures. After a day of exploring, spend an evening with the fireflies by the campfire under the stars or curl up for a cozy night in. Welcome to your home away from home! The space The suite is private with a keypad entrance, allowing you to come and go as you please. There’s plenty of free driveway parking for multiple cars. Two private bedrooms and an open living room flow into a stocked kitchen and full bathroom—perfect for couples and small families. -Bedroom 1: Queen bed, sleeps 2. -Bedroom 2: Full bed, sleeps 2. -Living Room: Couch, reading chair, and a lounge chair that converts to a small twin cot, sleeps 1. There’s also a corner desk (if you must work, but we recommend you don’t!). We provide organic cotton linens, fluffy towels, and all the amenities you could reasonably need (and maybe a few you didn’t know you needed), so all you have to do is relax. *All sheets, pillowcases, shams, and blankets are cleaned fresh for every guest* Control the central heat and A/C from the living room, plus a ceiling fan. Floor fans and space heaters add extra coziness and white noise. The electric fireplace brings warmth in winter or glowy ambiance in summer. We provide extra blankets, sheets, and pillows for maximum snuggle potential. You’ll be welcomed with assorted refreshments to make you feel right at home. Coffees, teas, and the essentials await your morning brews. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, pots, pans, and utensils so you can whip up a feast or reheat your leftovers from the many delicious restaurants in town. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo, fresh towels of every size, makeup towels, and extra mud towels for messy adventures. We offer a generous stash of soaps, shampoos, conditioners, plus hair styling tools galore: a hairdryer with diffusers, curling and straightening irons, a magnifying makeup mirror, and an iron and ironing board to make yourself look extra spiffy. Our guidebook and brochures will inspire your itinerary, while fast WiFi lets you plan more good times—or check emails (again, we highly discourage this!). Feel the nostalgia with a DVD/VHS player and a library of classics. Board games, puzzles, and books are perfect for cozy days in. You’ll also have live cable TV and endless streaming channels through a Roku, so you won't miss your latest binge. Our 5-acre property backs directly onto The Black Diamond Trail—a multi-use gravel path that connects you straight to Ithaca and Trumansburg. Hop on your bike right from the yard or take your doggo for an epic hike! Across the street, the Cayuga Nature Center offers miles of meadow trails and a treehouse that the kiddos will especially enjoy. There's something for the adults too—we are right at the start of The Cayuga Wine Trail, which offers dozens of the best wineries, cideries, and distilleries in the Finger Lakes. Guest access You’ll have private use of the suite, its entryway, and the front yard, which features a hand-built gazebo with a picnic table, Adirondack chairs around a fire pit (campfire supplies provided!), and a giant chessboard for some outdoor fun. Please note that the main house is off-limits, as it’s our private residence. *Heads up: There’s one flight of stairs from the garage entryway up to the suite.* Other things to note On your arrival day, once the suite is ready, we’ll send your door access code and check-in details so you can settle in at your convenience. Our goal is for you to have the best time ever, and we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
