Stunning sea and mountain views give Ondine a myriad of shifting faces, but stepping out of our front gate and straight onto the beach is what makes it truly unique. You’ll be physically connected to kilometres of white sandy beaches, hiking trails through the Table Mountain Nature Reserve, surf breaks, and crayfish beds that lie at the foot of our garden. Here, you're surrounded by raw nature while staying in the comfort of a well-equipped beach house, close to all the conveniences you might need. This is where the magic happens. Full moons light up the ocean, rainbows and sunsets take turns painting the sky until the stars come out. Whales play, flamingos stand and sometimes fly, bodies swim in tidal pools, and surf arrives in pulses of energy exploding onto the reefs. Coals from the fire glow, and if you're lucky, you might just catch the sparkle of phosphorescence in the waves. The villa is named Ondine, after a mythical water spirit, a fitting name for a home so intimately connected to the ocean. Like its namesake, Villa Ondine invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and lose yourself in the rhythm of the sea. Guest access Guests have full and private access to the entire property, including: 4 double bedrooms (one with a bath in the room) 3 bathrooms Fully equipped kitchen Open-plan living and dining areas Indoor fireplace Outdoor entertainment spaces Braai/BBQ area Wood-fired pizza oven Fire pit Swimming pool (if applicable) Secure parking for 1 car Ample off-street parking Security shutters fitted throughout the property for peace of mind The property comes with two permanent staff members and is serviced five days a week (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). This includes general cleaning and maintenance, as well as laundry service on weekdays for stays of three nights or more. Please note that guests do not have direct access to the washer and dryer. Firewood is available for the BBQ, pizza oven, fire pit, and indoor fireplace at R10 per log, payable before departure. You're also welcome to purchase your own wood from local suppliers. Coffee beans are provided for the built-in Smeg coffee machine, along with rooibos tea, black tea, sugar, and a variety of spices. We provide Charlotte Rhys shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in all bathrooms. The master bedroom bath includes bubble bath and bath salts for a relaxing soak. Leon (house manager) and his wife Christine live in a separate cottage on the property and are available if needed, while fully respecting your privacy. Our gardener and exterior maintenance assistant, is on-site Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Security shutters are fitted throughout the home for your peace of mind. Parties and events are not permitted unless agreed in advance with the host. A welcome folder is available in the house with local recommendations, appliance instructions, and useful contacts.
