Accommodation is in a spacious 2 bedroom Victorian house, built in 1870. It is part of a courtyard with a deli, smokehouse and award-winning seafood restaurant. The house is beside the A78 road, backing onto the Fairlie moors where you can find walking, cycling and hiking routes up Kaim hill with outstanding views of the Clyde coast. Ferries to Arran / Millport / Dunoon / Rothsay are close by (Ardrossan 15 minutes drive, Largs 10 minutes). Licence number NA00037F. The space The house is self contained with its own entrance and enclosec garden, while being attached to the old farmhouse which is occupied by the owner. The house is full of character, with colourful vintage pictures and furniture which span several generations of the family. There are two bedrooms with a king size bed in one and two single beds in the other. There is room to put in a camp bed for an extra child, please ask at the time of booking. Next door there is a farm shop where you can find fresh fish (locally caught by Bernard), seafood, smoked fish and other local produce. There is also an acclaimed seafood restaurant "The Catch at Fins". Fencefoot Farm is ideally situated for exploring the Clyde coast, islands and the moors just behind the house, whilst also being in close proximity to Fairlie and Largs.
