We have created this unique accommodation with an eye towards eco living crafted by local artisans. Tucked away down a foot path amongst the secluded magical rice fields of bali we are just a short walk to central Ubud but a world away. The space This is a unique space for the outdoor and adventurous traveler. We are located hidden in the rice-fields with a stunning and serene view. Our communal living and dining area is open to the rice-fields and will allow to enjoy the fireflies at night and the green views during the day. Our bathroom has an outdoor shower and will allow you to have the uniquely Bali experience of showering under the stars. This is a room equipped with a comfortable double bed enough for two people. If you would like us to add another mattress for children or traveling companions just let us know when you arrive but be aware this is only a two people room and we only allow to add additional people as a courtesy. This space has been carefully designed and crafted. Each element tells a story. If you look around you will find recycled and re-purposed materials from all over Indonesia. The hand crafted spiral staircase is made of steal from the hull off a boat. The posts that hold up the ceiling once were the masts of ships that sailed around Kalimantan. The wood on the pool deck was formerly a bridge in Borneo for two decades. The stunning chandelier in the living area is made of over 50 recycled wine bottles. Similarly the counter-tops are a terazzo of crushed recycled glass. We believe we have created a space that combines modern design with bohemian rustic styles and recycled elements. We have sourced the best local craftsman to incorporate all that is Bali bringing the outdoors in letting you enjoy outdoor Bali living in style. you please note that because of its proximity to to common area this room is best suited to people who want to enjoy our social atmosphere and are not bothered by hearing other guests while in the space. also, although the room does have an air conditioner we don’t list it as such because of the fluctuations of power in this part of ubud it cannot always be relied upon. the open air bathroom that is home to a lovely tree. Guest access We have a full staff that care for you while you are here. we have a restaurant bar and now a funky spa we can also help organize transportation or tours. we have a valet and we ask that you use him for parking. Other things to note Please know that this is not your average hotel. This is a unique experience that may not be for everyone. We have created a space that is at one with the outdoors. Our bathrooms are all open air and the living dining room is as well. Additionally you must hike in to reach us. This may not be your cup of tea. But if it is we think we offer something very unique that you will not find elsewhere. We offer a full service experience with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese foot path in the rice fields. we ask that you do this at your own risk as there is a bit of a drop and we don't want you to fall of so please take care with your footing. it is in no way dangerous if you are paying proper attention. We provide flashlights to all our guests and always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive. We are located in the rice-fields and because of this you should expect to see lizards and dragonflys and other such bits of nature. This is part of the experience of staying here and we hope you enjoy it. Because of the proximity to rice-fields we have a very important member of our staff that ensures the villa is mice free. She is a cat. She works for her food and does a fantastic job. She is sweet and friendly and will say hi. This said if you don't like cats or are not ready for all that nature entails, this is probably not the place for you. breakfast is not included in your stay. but we having amazing breakfast available for order.
