A simple and humble holiday house in the Ligurian Alps at 1100 meters of altitude. Indicated for nature and slowliving lovers, far away for comfort. Ideal place for hiking, mountain biking, relaxing, just a glass of wine and BBQ! The space Typical mountain house on two levels. Located on the Balconata di Ormea, it is suitable for quiet relaxing holidays, including trekking, climbing, mountain excursions, trails and surrounding villages. Supermarkets, pharmacy, post office, etc. just 5 km away in the town of Ormea. Possibility to reach nearby Liguria for trips and enjoy calm and relaxation in the evening or an excellent dinner in the restaurants of Ormea. In winter, you can reach the nearby ski and snowboard slopes of Garessio 2000 (Cuneo), Artesina (Cuneo), and Prato Nevoso (Cuneo). Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, i.e., on the first floor, the kitchen (equipped) with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric oven, and wood-burning stove, two bedrooms, and an entrance. On the ground floor, there is a tavern (where my grandparents Clementina and Leonardo once kept wine, cheeses, and vegetables from their fields) and an additional tavern/relaxation corner, "La Grotta"! This fully restored tavern has two large solid wood tables, sideboards for pantry use and a decorative wood-burning stove. Also on the ground floor and connected to the tavern is a room to relax in the evening, La Grotta, sipping a good red wine or reading a book or chatting quietly. In front of the house there is a terrace with a small barbecue, an ancient washhouse where once (not so long ago!) clothes were washed and water was drawn from the springs of Mount Pizzo di Ormea! Obviously, people still draw from this spring today! I simply ask that you do not smoke inside the house and, of course, to respect the rules of common sense in full respect of things and people. As it is an old mountain house, the heating consists of a wood-burning stove in the kitchen, a large wood-burning fireplace in the Romance Room, while in the other two rooms there is an oil/kerosene stove.
