Set on our family-run working farm, the flat enjoys stunning panoramic views across the garden and the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh. PLEASE NOTE before you book: A car is essential when staying here. We are in a rural location with no pavement to the village, very limited taxi availability and no Uber service. Perfect for couples, families and walkers, the apartment comfortably sleeps up to four guests, with a travel cot and high chair available for little ones. Working farm Dalachy Farm is a genuine family-run working farm with beef cattle, our adorable highland cows, sheep, the cheeky alpacas and seasonal crops- wheat, barley and oats. Depending on the time of year, you may hear farm machinery or livestock as part of everyday farm life. Explore the area There are beautiful countryside walks straight from the doorstep. The picturesque historic village of Aberdour is just 1.5 miles away (around a 5-minute drive), where you’ll find: • Award-winning beaches • Historic castle and harbour • Pubs and cafés • Coastal walks • Railway station • Golf, tennis and lawn bowls Edinburgh is just 35 minutes away by train, taking you across the world-famous Forth Rail Bridge. We’re also ideally situated for exploring St Andrews, Perth and Stirling, all within around a 45-minute drive. Whether you’re looking for history, beaches, walking, family attractions, shopping or simply somewhere peaceful to relax, there’s more than enough in the surrounding area to fill a memorable fortnight—or longer. Guest access CAR is essential. There are three free parking places right beside the accommodation. (A car is essential to stay here because we are not always be available to give lifts.) Aberdour village (5 min) has a free car park beside the train station which is handy for exploring and catching the train over to Edinburgh. Burntisland town (5 min) has free car parking along the High Street and at The Links Car Park great for exploring and shopping. TRAINS From Aberdour station are usually every half hour during the week and hourly on Sundays to Edinburgh over the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, an epic journey! Other things to note Before you book: Our cottage is in a beautiful rural location. A car is essential, as there is no pavement to the village, public transport is limited, local taxis are scarce, and Uber is unavailable.
