Located in a beautiful rural hamlet on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment this district is designated an AONB. Our newly converted cottage backs onto a small stable yard, is located up a private drive in a spot that is hard to beat for peace and quiet. Views from the garden across open farmland enjoy spectacular sunsets. Fully equipped kitchen, large sitting room, pretty bedroom and spacious shower room. Lovely rural walks and stunning bike rides straight from the front door. The space The Lodge is all on one level with lots of parking, king size bed with orthopaedic mattress, fully equipped kitchen with oven and microwave, dishwasher and washing machine (tumble drier or washing line available). Generous shower room en-suite. All decorated in calm neutral tones. There is a double parking bay opposite the front door. Travel cot and high chair can be provided. Selection of teas, coffee (ground and instant), oil, vinegar, condiments and herbs, plus basic groceries provided. Fresh milk, eggs, juice, bread, selection of cereals provided for breakfast and a welcome pack of crisps, biscuits and chocolate! Towels, loo rolls, toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, hand made soap etc. all provided. Tabs for both washing machine and dishwasher under the sink! Guest access Lovely (slightly wild garden), BBQ and garden table, table tennis, snooker. Wellington boots available, walking boots advisable. Other things to note Good local pubs within a short drive. Badminton Estate is 7 miles away, as is Dyrham House with its rolling acres and wild deer. Castle Combe village and race track is 3.5 miles (or a 40 minute walk cross country). Plus the beautiful Manor Golf Course. Tracy Park 36 hole golf course is a short drive. Lacock village and Abbey 12 miles. Chippenham 6 miles (railway station). Bath 12 miles and easy access to Bristol via Junction 18 (M4). Easy access from M4 J17 and J18.
