Walk out the door to swim, hike up to Eagle Ledge, take my canoe or kayak and search for loons and giant turtles, Marvel at foliage. Golf and big mountains near by. WFH at the desk over looking the little bay. some dogs ok. The space This 645 square foot cabin is adorable and so comfortable. I can never decide which seat to curl up on. You feel on top of the water from inside and completely connected to the lake and surrounding hills. The cabin was built in the 40s and has a retro and modern feel. Swim off the dock in shallow, clear water. Tons of good restaurants in Meredith and near by towns. 2 large grocery stores, a movie theater, and other conveniences with in a 10 minute drive. Honestly, just bring your groceries and a book. You are not going to want to leave the porch or the window seat. The lake is fascinating at night. Sitting on the porch you can watch the light change over the foot hills. There is easy access to lots of adventures with out getting in your car. You can paddle down the snake river to Lake Waukewan of walk or ride the 50 mile scenic railroad tracks (only used a tiny bit in the fall). Fish off the dock. or grab one of my floats and admire the sky. Some dog breeds are ok with an additional $150 pet fee for cleaning. Dogs must be approved first. Sheets and towels will be provided. Please let me know if you plan to bring your own. Guest access Guests have use of the whole house, the grill, the decks, the dock and boats ( kayaks) and the floats in the storage area. There is an extra cleaning fee of $100 to use our sheets and towels. The kitchen is stocked with cooking basics both spices and cookware. Internet access is free too. The is a pet fee and pets must be pre-approved.here is a fee for additional people and additional numbers must be approved. You must pick up after your dog and dogs need to be supervised closely or leashed when inT the neighborhood as one of the neighbors is afraid of dogs. In the woods let the pup be a wild beast! Other things to note 1 month minimum for rental, a longer is preferred in the summer months. The lake is quiet, 1.3 miles long and 3 miles around. Some folks have little fishing boats on the lake. There is a boat launch by the intersection of Winona and Anchorage 1/4 mile ish from the house The water is from a spring 525 feet down and is perfectly safe to drink. Golf is about 3 mile away. Meridith has cute shops too. Please do not use the beach. It is for the residents of the association that do not have beach access.
