High speed internet available. This is a lovely room in a comfortable house in the North end of Seattle with great views. Sleep well at night away from the noise of the city but still have easy access to main N & S traffic routes and all of Seattle's many delightful attractions. This guestroom is only available to one adult. It is not an appropriate space for children. The space The guest room is spacious (13’x11’), clean and artfully furnished with antiques. The house is a comfortable 1950’s mid-century modern with an abundance of natural light and gleaming hardwood floors at the north end of Seattle (the north end of Ballard). This is a neighborhood of tree lined streets. Guests may use the common areas of the house and can sleep well (it's really quiet here) in an excellent Simmons Beautyrest double bed. Pillows: multiple choices. Guests are welcome to cook in my fully equipped kitchen as long a they clean up after themselves and adhere to my safety instructions. They’re also welcome to use the large 2nd story deck which overlooks the garden. -What you get- Large room with real bed, love seat, coffee table, closet, dresser Fresh towels Wifi Desk is available in the adjacent room Use of the kitchen Laundry facilities Early & late check-ins can be negotiated Guest access Guests will enjoy the easy access to all that Old Ballard (3 miles south) has to offer: fifteen minutes by car to boutiques, a large selection of excellent restaurants, breweries, and a public park: the Ballard Locks & fish ladders. Guests often take advantage of nearby Carkeek Park which offers hiking trails and access to Puget Sound During your stay You’ll be sharing a house with me that has 1.25 bathrooms. We can interact if you choose. I'll respect your privacy. I’ll be pleased to be a resource for Seattle atractions and the best routes tp get to them. I am a docent/tour guide at a exquisite nearby (8 minutes) 7.2 acre residential Olmsted garden and can offer a private tour during certain months (donation appreciated). Other things to note You’ll be a 10 min. walk from 216 acre Carkeek Park which has hiking trails, picnic sites and access to Puget Sound. Robe and slippers supplied.
