La Sámara is an ecological accommodation located 1 km from Arbolí, between the Prades Mountains and Priorat, in a privileged place in the middle of the forest, perfect for enjoying tranquility. Ideal for hiking, cycling, climbing, wine tourism (Priorat and Montsant) and connecting with nature. The house and estate are designed following the principles of permaculture. A rustic, natural, and comfortable experience to enjoy and learn to live more sustainably. The space The accommodation is ideal for 6 people, with the possibility of extra beds if needed. On the ground floor is the kitchen-dining room and the living room, which has a sofa bed. On the first floor there are two spacious and bright rooms. One has a double bed and a single bed, and has access to the terrace. The other has a double bed, which can be converted into 2 single beds, and a single bed with a trundle bed. The bathroom is located on the first floor and also has independent access from the outside. It has a large sink area, with 2 separate compartments for the dry bathroom and the shower-dressing room. In the house there is a porch with a glazed roof, a countertop, and an outdoor sink. The house is mostly built with natural materials and designed with bioclimatic criteria. It works with solar panels and all the water we use comes from a spring on the property itself. We use high-efficiency wood-burning stoves to heat the house and the hot water is solar thermal, with the support of a wood-burning boiler. We have a dry composting toilet and purify all the water in the house naturally. On the farm we have an orchard, chickens and a wide variety of fruit trees. We have a lifestyle in which we seek to minimize our impact on the environment, cycling our waste and using renewable energy sources. That is why sometimes some resources and services of the house may be limited or require your collaboration (hot water, electricity according to season, lighting of stoves...). We seek a balance between comfort and sustainability. Upon arrival, we will give you the appropriate instructions on the different systems in the house so that you can enjoy them properly. Other things to note The hosts live on the same property, in a small house located a few meters from the accommodation. There are exclusive areas for guests and others that are shared. We have chickens and cats on the farm. To access the house, you have to walk a 120m stretch along a mountain path from the parking area, so we recommend bringing suitable footwear and backpacking gear. The trail is not suitable for people with limited mobility. We also recommend bringing a flashlight/headlamp to move around at night outside the house and mosquito repellent in summer. In the house we only use natural and ecological hygiene and cleaning products. Registration Details HUTT-066449
