Treetops & Loft is an upstairs suite accessible from the ground floor front entry hall, a private suite for those wanting less in mind, more like expanded hotel or B&B spaces, also with kitchenette and dinette areas and rooftop deck overlooking all, still with cabin in the woods flavor and very unique at the top of the trees all around, including the sprawling giant amidst the rooftop deck. Queen bedroom, en suite bathroom: Treetops & Loft includes a queen bedroom with opening window at the bed overlooking the trees for awaking to a sunrise, fresh air and breezes, mountain aroma, or sleeping amidst the stars (also can completely darken the room for sleep), including a 32" television with cable and built-in DVD player, and small, full en suite bathroom with standard tub and shower combo, small opening window at the treetops. Sleeping Loft: Also included is a small rustic all-wood A-frame Sleeping Loft with rafters and beams, currently with two single beds (ask about king set-up +$25), cozy and at the top of the log cabin part of the house below overlooking, put together in log cabin style. Den: The walk-through adjoining room is a cozy den also with 4 opening screened windows with a double sleeper-sofa that can sleep one, two snuggly, comfortable chairs, 43" television with cable, walk-in closet with floor to ceiling shelving for your things, small dinette and kitchenette areas also in the den. Kitchenette: The kitchenette provides a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster (ask for blender, toaster oven), coffee makers (5cup ground, K-cup/ground, some coffees, creamer, teas, sugar & Stevia, provided), dishes, glasses, flatware, plastic ware, cutting boards, salt & pepper, kitchen towels, sponge (water source at bathroom sink currently), dish liquid and other cleaning supplies, easy spray fire extinguisher, and a few other kitchen supplies somewhat beyond hotel provisions. Windows: There are opening windows and fans in all spaces for enjoying and adjoining with the outdoors for fresh air and aromatic breezes, cool climate, lively nature choruses of sounds, and the sights, as well as starry and moonlit skies unlike what we ever notice in town. Rooftop Deck: Also accessible for Treetops guests is a private rooftop deck and view built around an enormous divided tree that overlooks the woods of the back of the property! This space is accessible by upstairs glass door for integration with the outside sky and treetops at the rooftop deck, as well as fresh air and breezes and the mountain sights and sounds. The deck includes a black iron patio table for 4, a built-in Craftsman bench, and a large metal trashcan. Another private suite may also be occupied (B&B layout) downstairs and/or in detached Cozy Camp Hut for 1-2 guests, and/or primitive campsite on the back of the property for 1-4 guests for 1-2 tents by guests or host during your stay with no shared or common spaces except possibly the downstairs front entry Gallery Hall and outside, privacy and quiet are priorities. 040526 ----------------------------------------------------- Please be aware of the following things that may not work for you and your group: Adults setting: Perritt's Path has been designed and purposed for adult retreats and is not designed for or ideal for children. Sketchy cell signals: Once off the interstate in back country and on mtn, use wi-fi calls/texts setting on cell phone for service. You may need to screenshot the directions and message-info in case no GPS signal and GPS often directs inaccurately to the wrong cabin or to the end of the gravel road past my place. Getting to the cabin from outside: Natural setting, bring mud shoes, only steps from front parking. Safety: No railing around Rooftop Deck, Sleeping Loft, Back Porch, an open stairwell, natural wildlife area requiring caution when outdoors. Climate & temps: The mountain climate is very moist, nestled totally within a rural country environment that is usually cooler than in town, higher altitude at the top of the mountain, surrounded by dense woods and foliage, warmer in the daytime hours, but drastically cooler after dark and in the mornings. Pet environment: Be aware that many guests come with their pets that are inside & outside, and that a cat lives on the property that will be outside or in buildings, and host's senior commuter kitty. Consider allergies Pests: Because of a rural, country, densely wooded setting, pests and cobwebs may appear, is natural and not always controllable, even though thorough cleaning is maintained and various forms of pest control. Food and beverages must be kept put away in airtight containers or fridges/freezers/ovens to deter pests, as well as residue kept cleaned up with cleaners, lids to trash cans on tight (also for raccoons & possums outside).
