The space Welcome to beautiful Monteagle Mountain on the South Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee! Sunset at Bear Cove is a contemporary mountain home inviting you to refresh, soaking in the gorgeous, changing views of the Cove, watching the birds soar through the air and deer grazing in the yard. Simply relaxing in this peaceful setting will melt your stress away. The home is a perfect blend of modern open spaces yet retains a warm and cozy feel with the huge stone fireplace, vaulted wood ceiling and hardwood floors. On your approach, you'll see glimpses of the bluff and be welcomed with a large front yard and porch overlooking the gardens. From the glass entry door, your eyes will gaze straight to the beautiful view through the airy Great Room leading to the spacious deck. From there, spread out and enjoy the 3 levels of this spacious home! The Great Room is the perfect gathering place! Gaze out the doors for a spectacular view, play games, work a puzzle or read books by a cozy fire. Above the gas stone fireplace, enjoy the 65" Smart TV (Some local stations provided or log on to your favorite apps with your login info-FIBER INTERNET). The Dining Area opens to the Great Room and Kitchen and has a large table with seating for 8 (expandable) and a large bar with seating for 3 that has it's own TV! The Kitchen is open to the Dining Area and Great Room and maintains a fantastic view! It is well-stocked with pots and pans, Crock Pot, bakeware, dishes for 12+ and offers a gas range with griddle and double oven, perfect for those holiday meals. A Keurig (and drip maker) and snacks rest on the Quartz counters. There is plenty of pantry space for items you'd like to bring, but we provide the basics like coffee, salt & pepper, spices, paper towels, dishwasher soap, etc. A half bath and laundry room (with full size washer & dryer) are off the kitchen. Stepping down from the Kitchen into the Game Room, you'll find a Pro size Ping Pong table, Foosball and Darts ready to test your skills. The large Primary Bedroom on the main floor includes French Doors out to a private deck space where you can watch the colors change on the ridge as the sun moves across through the day. Relax in the King bed with luxury linens. There is also a large Smart TV and cozy loveseat. The En Suite bathroom includes a dual vanity, separate shower and jetted tub, (sanitized after each guest, and great for soaking after a day of hiking!) plus a large walk-in closet with shelving. The 2nd story offers 3 bedrooms, a full bath and an open sitting area overlooking the Great Room. The Cottage Room has the best views of the mountain! A private balcony is accessed through French doors. This inviting bedroom boasts a queen iron bed, TV with Roku (access apps through your log-in), reading chair and vanity with mirror. The Bunk Room faces south and sleeps 4. Twin Bunk beds with a trundle pull out are nestled in a niche. This room also has an antique full size bed and small flat screen TV/DVD combo with a double window overlooking the trees in summer and bluff in winter. Enter the Juliet bedroom through the angled balcony overlooking the Great Room. This room has two twin beds, a writing desk, a rocking chair and two large windows overlooking the trees/bluff. It is private with a locking door, but does overlook the Great Room through an opening along the wall. The overlook can be closed off with black-out curtains for additional privacy. The lower level boasts a 2nd Living area with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Read a magazine or book, play games or branch out with some creativity on the keyboard and electric drum set. A large 3D TV and queen sleeper sofa make it the perfect space for a movie or a 5th sleeping area. Walk out onto the large screen porch and relax in the SaluSpa HotTub. So many options in this separate space! A queen air mattress with linens make this room a separate sleeping area for 4. Access the expansive main deck from the four glass doors in the Great Room. It is the perfect place to refresh... breathe in the mountain air, lounge on the sofa, or enjoy a glass of wine and sunset dinner! A Weber gas grill is provided for outdoor cooking. The home is equipped with High Speed Fiber Internet for your remote work needs. There is a desk area in the kitchen and also in the lower level Rec room. Guest access From Hwy 41, you'll turn onto Laurel Lake Dr, in between The Monteagle Inn and The Mountain Goat Market. From there, you'll pass the picturesque Laurel Lake with access to fishing and kayaking. (Bring your own equipment) Continue on to Bear Den on the right. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking or jogging. The driveway is large with parking for at least 4 cars. (Do not park in the grass) Other things to note Note: Extra guest fees may apply.
