The Bunkhouse is a beautifully appointed, spacious full apartment above a large garage with private entrance. Located on beautiful Balsam Lake, you will enjoy shared access to the lake. If you wish to use the dock for a single watercraft or rent a pontoon, please let me know at the time of booking to ensure availability. Enjoy The Bunkhouse for its cozy northwoods atmosphere year round while exploring everything Balsam Lake and the surrounding Polk County area has to offer. The Bunkhouse is furnished and stocked for your comfort. The main guest bed is queen size and very comfortable. The pull out sofa is also very comfortable for two. There are extra linens, blankets, plush pillows and plenty of bath towels in the linen closet. Plan to bring your own beach towels if you use the lake. You’ll also find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, Q-tips, TP, toothpaste and a hairdryer. The kitchen has the basic serving ware, full set of pots, cookie sheet, tin foil, and most essentials for cooking. There is a microwave and toaster tucked in the pantry cupboard. Enjoy a variety of coffee, tea and cocoa Kcups along with condiments for the Keurig. There is a small portable propane grill tucked under the workbench in the garage. The Bunkhouse suite is completely private. Guests enter through the garage service door using keys found in a lockbox at the door. The bunkhouse is lockable for your privacy and security. With it’s convenient self check-in, please be sure to locate and read the detailed Check-in instructions and House Manual before your arrival. In those documents are important details about where to park, how to access the keys and operation of heat, fans and hot water. Your Hosts, Karen and Terry live full time in the main residence and are available to answer your questions to make your stay comfortable. We encourage you to have the Airbnb App on your phone and set your notifications to receive communications there. This is also the best way to reach us. The lakeside is beautiful and spacious enough to share with a variety of places to sit, eat or enjoy a bonfire. Plan to stop at the local hardware store or gas station to pick up firewood if you wish to have a bonfire. The Bunkhouse is located at the end of a very beautiful wooded and quiet street. Guests may park one vehicle on the left side of the driveway up close to the house to keep access to the garage open. You may park a vehicle or small boat trailer on the street as well. The Bunkhouse is located above a garage. So please be aware there are stairs to access. Among other House Rules you agree to before booking, no children, pets or candles in The Bunkhouse. And no smoking, fireworks or fish cleaning on the property.
