Quiet cosy 1860s cottage on a footpath in the heart of Ditchling, a relaxing country escape. Contemporary design alongside woodburner, rolltop bath and comfy sofas to fall into after a walk on the South Downs or a long lunch in the local award winning pub. Cafes, shops, museum of arts & crafts, cycling and wine tasting at local vineyards nearby. Brighton, Lewes, Glyndebourne, Charleston, Plumpton Racecourse and the sea are all close; London is 55 minutes by train. The space In the double bedroom on the first floor overlooking the footpath, there’s a stylish, comfortable Feather & Black bed with linens, throws and cushions for lazy lie ins. A wardrobe provides plenty of hanging space and there’s a chest of drawers. The bathroom features a rolltop bath and walk in monsoon shower. Downstairs there is an open plan lounge diner with wooden floors throughout. Unwind on the comfy sofas by the woodburner; relax in front of the television or with a magazine. The comfortable sofa sleeps one person. The British Standard marble topped kitchen is well equipped with oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, washing machine & dryer, toaster and dining table that seats four people. The back stable door leads onto the sunny east facing patio with a bench and table for breakfast or lunch outside, plus pots of herbs for guests to help themselves to for cooking. The long garden opens up to a further seating area to soak up the sun during the afternoon and evening. Wifi and good mobile reception. Logs provided. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Free parking in the village hall car park, a three minute walk away. Bikes can be left at the front of the house or back garden. Dogs allowed but not upstairs. No smoking.
