The Joyful Home is centrally located--5 minutes to Bard College, 15 minutes to the city of Hudson, and less than 2hrs from NYC. An inspiring respite. The space The Joyful Home has four beautifully decorated bedrooms, two en-suite and sleeps up to seven guests. The property is perfect for couples, friends, or a family. Fantastic as a weekend getaway or longer-term rental. Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, and *fast wifi*. Perfect for remote work and spacious for friends and family to lounge between living spaces. Shop, walk, hike, ski: Close to Hudson, Olana & Catskills. Every room has beautiful light, charming character and color, and is appointed with unique antiques and artwork. Guest access The Joyful Home is situated on one acre along with two additional structures (The Studio and The Barn). Guests have exclusive access to the main house and to all exterior grounds including a private parking spot on the property. Other things to note We are dog-friendly, but we ask that before you book you notify us if you plan on bringing your pet as we accept dogs case by case. We ask that all dogs be fully housebroken and are under 40 pounds. Please bring comfy slippers, as we are a shoe-free home in an effort to protect the antique wood floors and maintain cleanliness. Lawn care generally happens on Tuesday afternoons weather-dependent. As typical with all upstate hamlet homes, the property is not fenced in. Please keep this in mind when booking the property with young children and dogs. The entire cleaning fee goes straight to the cleaning team. We're committed to paying our people fairly for their work, and this lets them take their time to ensure they are meticulous with Covid Care Protocols. We appreciate having a spotless place, and know you will too. Owners retain private access to the studio and barn, including the accompanying small side yards to these structures.
