FINCA CHUMBERA - Rock Waterfall Pool Rustic House

The original *finca* (today the entire living and dining room) dates back to the 14th century and is in the Catalan Gothic style. It has been completely renovated, adding new areas while rigorously preserving the original Catalan Gothic style. The space ROCK WATERFALL POOL rustic is an original Gothic-Catalan country house built in the 14Th Century. It has been completely renovated by its owners (Monica is an interior designer and Robert is a great handyman and a skipper), preserving its original Gothic-Catalan character. The living–dining room has walls one meter thick and a ceiling height of 5 meters, and is furnished with elements made of oak wood, iron, and glass, with a large sofa placed in front of a large fireplace. BEDROOMS: there is one double bedroom on the ground floor, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom on the first floor. The two floors of the house are connected by a wooden staircase with a glass floor as well as a glass roof section that allows light to pass through and the entire house is fitted with mosquito screens on all doors and windows. BATHROOM(double): on the ground floor there is a double bathroom separated by a door: one has a toilet, a bidet, a shower and a washing machine, the second one has a bathtub, a washbasin, cupboards, and drawers. EXTERNAL BATHROOM: there is also an external equipped bathroom with toilet, bidet and a shower. The bathrooms are supplied with hot water produced by two large solar water heaters. KITCHEN: the colorful kitchen, on the ground floor features a large central island with an induction cooktop and sink, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains! It is equipped with a wide range of cooking accessories, as Monica is passionate about cooking, especially her country cuisine, the Italian. You will find two coffee machines (espresso and drip), a kettle, a toaster, blenders, a microwave, and an electric oven. THE PORCH: next to the entrance of the living room, there is a large stone oven, original from a bygone era. The kitchen opens on two sides onto the external porch, where there is a large wooden table that seats 8 people and a gas barbecue is placed next to the table. Just a few steps away is the entrance to the shallow pool, specifically designed for children, which ends at the waterfall. There is also a round glass table set on the base of a large tree (a work by Robert), with 4 chairs around it. A set of bamboo sofas and armchairs completes the outdoor porch, protected from the sun by a series of awnings. To lie back and relax, there are 4 sun loungers, as well as additional mats and 2 very comfortable outdoor daybeds. On the side of the double bedroom, there is another teak wood sofa and two armchairs to enjoy the coolness of the shade. The parking area is double (for 2 cars) and is covered to ensure protection from both the sun and the rain. Guest access The living room opens onto the outdoor porch, which has 200 square meters of space surrounded by white stone columns from where you can enjoy stunning views of the island's highest mountains(called Sierra de Tramuntana). The 9.000 square meters garden is totally private and is fenced by stone walls. It has 900 cypresses and hundreds of different kinds of threes including palm trees and bamboo. Other things to note THE 2 LEVELS POOL: The pool was designed and built by the owners and is truly one of a kind. We wanted a non-conventional pool, both in shape and colors, built entirely with local materials (in fact, the stones were collected on the slopes of the Serra de Tramontana) and perfectly integrated into the garden. The pool is therefore split into two levels, with a waterfall that carries water from the upper pool (with a maximum depth of 1.60 meters) to the lower pool for younger children. Adult guests can relax comfortably lying around the pool or sitting at the outdoor dining table while the children play in the water, without having to worry about safety risks. The pool has turned out to be a great success and a source of pride for the owners. Guests of the house, if they wish, can rent one of our BOATS (a 5 or 6 meter RIB, for up to 8 passengers), which they will drive themselves (with or without a boating license), for half a day (4 hours), and they will enjoy a special discount. Our company, “Boat Rental Formentor,” is located in Porto Pollensa, and guests will be able to navigate the Bay of Pollensa, reaching Cap de Formentor and its beautiful coves (Cala Murta and Cala Gossalba).
