SET ON A 17 ACRE PROPERTY SLEEPING 14 PEOPLE Jinchilla Farm is an ideal holiday option for larger family or friendship groups seeking a step out of the rat race and opportunity to enjoy all that Halls Gap has to offer. The farmhouse sleeps 14 people and is nestled away from other houses and roads, accessible only by our guests. The property boasts stunning views and beautiful surroundings in a private and quiet setting. Rates are for the exclusive and all inclusive rental of the property. The space We are one of the only properties in Halls Gap perfectly catering for large groups and if you want lots of space to roam, peace and privacy you'll just love it. We are kept busy with bookings from large family (multi-generation) and friendship groups and just love that our property brings people together to catch up, unwind and simply have fun. If you want beautiful views and the opportunity to be amongst nature and wildlife, you'll love your time at Jinchilla. ACCOMMODATION: FARMHOUSE - This is a 4 bedroom double story home sleeping 14 people. Upstairs is a retreat with 4 beds (queen bed plus 3 singles - one single bed is a kid's "car" bed and another is actually a king single). This space offers five squares of living encompassing a spacious living area and separate bathroom with toilet and shower. A perfect light filled area to admire the stunning views or watch the many kangaroos at dusk and dawn. There are three neat and well appointed bedrooms downstairs (all off the hallway). One is set up as a kids room with 2 sets of bunks, one is a queen with direct access to the downstairs bathroom and the other has a double + single bunk bed. Please refer to photos for all bedroom arrangements to ensure it suits your travelling group. The farmhouse has a fully equipped kitchen & dining area with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and oven. It is well stocked with all kitchen utensils, crockery, glasses and cooking requirements including a slow cooker, rice cooker, toasted sandwich maker and Nespresso coffee machine (just bring your pods). A real home away from home and plenty of cupboards to store your things. There is a separate lounge with TV, DVD, stereo and leather lounges along with a wood fire heater warming the house in the cooler months. We have a reverse cycle AC in the lounge room however also have evaporative cooling throughout the house too - both incredibly effective. The farmhouse has a fully equipped laundry with a washing machine & sink, and the downstairs bathroom has a separate shower and bath. There are 3 toilets in the farmhouse. This is an older style home however is well appointed with all you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. OUTSIDE: Outside is a large undercover outdoor area with BBQ facilities, ample outdoor furniture for large groups, table tennis table and a basketball ring. There is plenty of room to roam and explore, ride bikes, kick the footy, have a game of outdoor cricket or build a tree house. Toast marshmallows and enjoy a campfire in the cooler months as we also have a fire pit. THE PROPERTY: Jinchilla farm is set on 17 acres of private land and we're set far off the main road so away from traffic, noise and people too. Kids can ride their bikes and scooters freely and there's plenty of grassy spaces for picnics with a picnic basket available. There are no other direct neighbouring houses nearby so you will have uninterrupted views and privacy (only close house is 200m away). Walk through the red gums, explore the surrounds and enjoy the diverse wildlife who also call Jinchilla home including kangaroos, deer, emu, echidnas, rabbits, birds and lizards, along with many insects depending on the season you visit. There is a very large dam on the property - whilst it provides a nice feature on the property and attraction for the wildlife, it goes without saying that all children must be supervised by their parents when around the water as our dam is unfenced and very deep. Please note that our property was previously a working farm and as such there are now many old animal pens towards the back of the property and it is largely unfenced. We are dependant on rain water and as a large rural property at times it can be dusty. LOCATION AND LOCAL AREA: We are across the road from the Halls Gap Zoo (highly recommend you visit), alongside WAMA Museum, 800m from Halls Gap - Fallen Giants Winery and a couple of minutes drive from Red Rock Olives / Cafe which is worth a visit. We're a short 3 minute drive into Halls Gap village and all shops, pubs and amenities - plus an easy drive into neighbouring towns including Pomonal, Stawell and Ararat. Jinchilla makes an awesome base for exploring the stunning Grampians region including lakes and waterfalls. A perfect location to enjoy rock climbing and bush walking with the local area catering beautifully for all ages. Whether it's marshmallows by the fire in winter or enjoying watersports at Lake Fyans or Lake Belmont in the summer, Halls Gap is a great option all year round. So much to see and do - just ask us and we'll point you in the right direction. INCLUSIONS We supply all bedding and linen, bath towels, bath mats and tea towels through a linen company. Basic provisions such as coffee, tea, sugar, washing powder, soap, toilet paper, bug spray and cleaning products for example are provided. Due to ongoing theft of our supply we no longer provide firewood however guests are welcome to take what they can from the property (axes provided). We have no problem gathering wood from our property during our stays. Alternatively this can be bought locally. Please note that we DO NOT have WIFI – not such a bad thing when you want to disconnect or get the kids off gadgets. PET AND FAMILY FRIENDLY Jinchilla is a family friendly property with portacots, strollers and high chairs available along with DVDs, books, toys and games. We've got kids too so really want to make your holiday and travel experience as easy as possible. Don't forget the gumboots in winter! Pets must be well behaved as Jinchilla is home to an abundance of wildlife and our neighbours keep cattle, sheep and horses which stray close to our property (always a thrill for the kids). As mentioned the property is largely unfenced so make sure your beloved pooch will come back if called! SCHOOL HOLIDAYS, CHRISTMAS, EASTER AND LONG WEEKENDS WILL ATTRACT A HIGHER TARIFF. Guest access Guests can rent the entire property exclusively and will have full and private access to the farmhouse, amenities and all private land. Other things to note No additional charge for pets.
