College Neighborhood Bungalow
Completely renovated in 2017, this basement apartment in a 1920s bungalow is a block and and a half from the ISU lower campus. Open layout of living room and new kitchen, with lots of natural light. Two small but cozy bedrooms, and a brand new bathroom. I pride myself on providing very good linens, towels, and bath products. The kitchen is fully stocked for everything you would need, including coffee, teas, and homemade cookies on arrival. Netflix is provided, although not Cable TV. This is a two-bedroom basement apartment, which can comfortably accommodate three people. There is a queen bed in one bedroom and a twin bed in the other. Although ideally suited to 2 or 3 people, the couch in the living room could also be used as a bed, especially for a child. Guests are welcome to enjoy the large front porch upstairs, and there is Netflix on the television. A parking tag is provided, as this neighborhood borders ISU, so be sure to use it and please be sure to leave it when you go (!) I am always available by text or cell phone if you need anything or have questions. The back yard is available when discussed beforehand with the host. Be aware there are two small dogs who live here (friendly little terriers), but guests would need to be introduced to them first. I am always available to offer help and am reachable either by phone or in person as I live upstairs. I prefer to give my guests their privacy but love to visit if they want to. Let me know if you would like to meet Nick, my little resident Border Terrier. The College Neighborhood is one of the most diverse and charming ones in Pocatello. One neighborhood coffee shop is just around the corner, and the other is three blocks away. The City Creek recreational area is a five minute drive away and is great for hikes, bike rides, or casual walks and bird watching. Albertson's grocery store in within walking distance, and there is a lovely local wine shop 1/2 block away. Pocatello Transit bus stop is around the corner on 5th Ave. Albertson's grocery is two blocks away, and the post office is about 7 blocks. Holt Arena is within walking distance, although up a hill so you may prefer to drive. The upper campus of ISU is also up near Holt. Lower campus is a block from the apt. There are two small dogs living upstairs, but the apt has its own private entrance and you should not be impacted at all by the dogs. If you love dogs and would like to meet them, just let me know! The laundry room is shared by me but fully available to guests and is located just outside their private door.
