Cottage in Saint Martin

Caervallack Garden Cottage is a beautiful two person holiday cottage set within a private 540m2 walled garden .The Helford river is within walking distance and there are 13 different beaches a short drive away . Its a quiet and particularly beautiful part of Cornwall. The garden has featured in most of the garden/house magazines over the last 20 years, and in most recently in the book "Secret Gardens of Cornwall" 2023. Sorry we don't accept pets or children. The space We've made a real effort to create a beautiful place using traditional building materials , cob (unbaked clay dug up from the neighbouring field), oak & lime plaster with modern elements. The atmosphere is very nurturing and restive, which visitors from Airbnb seem to really appreciate. The bed is very comfortable and has sheets with very high thread count; the ensuite shower room is very modern with Italian designer sinks and ceramic tiles and a unique keyhole window. Head height downstairs is 1.95m (6"6") and 2.4m upstairs (8ft.). Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the the walled garden, designed and planted over the last 30 years . It is divided into 7 different rooms which you are free to enjoy according to the sun. The pond garden opposite is a particular favourite, recieving direct sun all day and being entirely private. There are herbaceous borders, 50 varieties of roses, topiary aswell as modern cob walls, a 54ft. bridge and Pentagonal meditation room. There are shared spaces with the owners - the car parking area,and over the bridge in the meadow. Other things to note During peak season , mid July to August we ask guests to stay for a minimum of 5 nights, changeover day Friday . There are lots of good eating possibilities within a few miles: Legendary Cornish pasties & orgainic vegetables (Gear Farm) ; and fresh fish 5 minutes down the road and then 3 pubs/restaurants within 8 minutes drive: Ship Inn, Prince of Wales & Flora restaurant.
