peaceful bungalow

We are a friendly family run guesthouse in the South of Ubud. Our 'Peaceful Bungalow' is a cozy and comfortable place to stay. It has en-suite bathroom, a double and a single bed, a spacious verandah with sofas, a coffee table and an arm chair and is surrounded by our tropical garden. You can enjoy your complimentary breakfast on your veranda or at the breakfast place. We will be happy to help and make your stay as comfortable and exciting as possible. We, Nyoman & Ulli, are a Balinese/German couple and have been running the 'Guci-Guesthouses' for more than 30 years. We still enjoy taking care of our guests and always try to make their stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The 'Peaceful Bungalow' is situated in our garden and our family home is on the same piece of property - therefore, there is always somebody there to assist you. We speak fluent English, German & Indonesian and are happy to help you to plan your tours and activities. We work together with the "DiBali-Taxi-Service" and can arrange Airport and hotel transfers for you as well as half day tours and full day tours. We can also arrange the following for you: -Tickets for the fast boat to 'Lombok' and the 'Gili Islands' -Tickets for the fast boat to 'Nusa Lembongan' -Guided bicycle tours -Sunrise trekking on 'Mount Batur' -Cooking Class and more.... Motorbike and bicycle rentals are available in our neighborhood and there is enough space to park motorbikes and bicycles on our premises. Unfortunately, we can't offer a parking space for cars. Our guests can buy soft drinks, beer and wine from our self-service fridge in the reception area. We also provide a refill station for clean drinking water. For the bungalow we provide hot water in thermos cans to prepare tea & coffee anytime throughout the day. There is always somebody home to assist you. In our neighborhood you can find a nice range of restaurants, from simple 'Warungs' to lovely, fine dining restaurants. Here we just name a few: -White Ginger -Hongalia -Pizza Bagus -Pizza Mama Mia -Casa Tako -Cafe Arma -Biah-Biah -Dumara Many of the restaurants also offer 'delivery service', which is nice to know and convenient. The 'Yoga Barn' is not far from us - in walking distance, about 5 minutes There's the 'ARMA-Museum of Art' right around the corner as well as Mini Markets and the 'Farmers Market' every Saturday at 'Pizza Bagus'. Even the 'Ubud Monkey Forest' is in walking distance, only about 10 - 15 minutes away. It's possible to walk to Ubud Center but you can find shops, a nice range of restaurants and Mini markets nearby as well. Right outside 'Guci-Guesthouses", on the road, you can meet drivers who will offer you "transport" to wherever you want to go. You will have to bargain the price for each trip but it is never a problem to find private transportation. 'Public transportation' is almost non-existent and you will have to hire a driver with a car or rent your own motorbike or bicycle to get around.
