Description
The space The property, completely renovated, is located in the center of the village, very close to services, such as bars, Conad city, a minimarket and a rotisserie right below the house. The thick walls make it naturally cool even on the hottest days, the windows are equipped with double glazing to isolate it from the noises of the street and the sound of the nearby bell tower that marks the hour. It is a great starting point for visiting Ferentillo and its district, the Marmore Waterfall, Valnerina and all of Umbria. Other things to note The town of Ferentillo, framed by two 12th-century fortresses built for defense, is characterized by the presence of 18 hamlets that make up the municipality. Near the apartment is the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria, built under the pontificate of Eugene III around the second half of the 12th century, perhaps on a pre-existing early Christian cult building. The imposing 15th-century bell tower preserves the largest bronze bell in the Valnerina, which bears the story of its destruction in 1797 by Napoleonic revolutionary troops. Today, as then, the bells of Santa Maria and all the other churches in Ferentillo ring through the streets of the town thanks to the Confraternita dei Campanari.
