If you're traveling to Durban on business or are a couple looking for a quiet getaway, our private room (no kitchen) on suite (only shower) has all you need to make your trip a memorable one. Just a short drive from the highway, you're able to get to the bustling Umhlanga beach front or town business district in no time and once you've finished with your plans for the day, you can return to your room and wind down for the evening with a swim. Please note breakfast is unavailable. The space The room is situated on the lower no step level of the main house on our gated & fenced property, providing exclusive privacy & separateness. Newly renovated, the room boasts a comfortable queen-sized, extra length bed with quality linen for the ultimate night's sleep and and on-suite bathroom (shower only). Should you be staying for a few days and need to unpack, there's ample cupboard and drawer space so don't worry if you haven't packed light. Private parking is available right next to the suite & there is ample on site secure parking if you are towing a boat, caravan or driving a large bakkie, truck/lorry. The room also comes with a 32' smart TV with DSTV and includes Netflix. The suite also includes a desk in case you need to get work done, a bar fridge to store any refreshments you'd like, a microwave, toasters, kettle and of course tea, coffee and homemade rusks. Please note that there is no kitchen & breakfast is not provided. Therefore, our accommodation is most suitable for short term stays. The unit is not fitted with a washing machine. However, there are ample laundromats in close proximity. As you step out of your room you'll be greeted by our green garden space and pool to which you'll have full access including sun loungers and an outdoor table, chairs & umbrella, if you can't get enough of the Durban weather. Your safety is our number one priority and we want you to feel at ease on your stay so the property perimeter is fixed with 24 hour CCTV and secure parking within the property. The road is also fitted with security cameras monitored by a private security firm. The room also has an indoor safe for you to store any valuables for extra peace of mind. The property has solar panels & water tanks, thus providing uninterrupted, comprehensive power & water during electricity &/or water shedding/disruptions. Guest access Our guests will have their own private entrance, free parking on the premises and use of our lovely pool and spacious garden area. There are no steps & parking is available right next to the unit. Other things to note Basic servicing of the suite is available daily (except weekends & public holidays) upon request at a fee. This can be arranged with the host upon arrival. Please note there is no kitchen but we do provide a mini bar fridge, microwave, toasters, kettle, hot beverage station, sink, basic cutlery, crockery and cleaning products. Iron & board, broom & mop are provided. Hairdryer upon request. There isn't a washing machine in the unit. However, there are several laundromats in close vicinity. Regrettably no children, infants, pets or persons other than guests are permitted. With the unit being situated directly adjacent to the uncovered/non-fenced/unprotected swimming pool, it is considered to not be child-proof. Please use amenities e.g. pool at your own risk. If any items are lost or broken, we will be in touch to discuss replacement fees.
