Cottage in Ceredigion

Cilcain is a small, but well-appointed new cottage, next door to, but detached from, our old farm cottage. Set in peaceful surroundings, with views. Ideal for 4 adults, or 2 adults + 2 children, whether wanting to walk, cycle, explore, or have a quiet break. Set between the Cambrian mountains and the sea - 10 miles from the coast. Tea and coffee and some basic store cupboard items are provided. Discount available for 4 nights or more - see below. Access: Please see other things to note below. The space Although recently finished, the cottage has a traditional country-style feel, with painted wooden furnishings, rugs, and unique cedarwood panels as part of the downstairs walls. There are 2 good-sized bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, with kingsize duvet. This looks out over our land towards the hills in the distance. The other room has 2 twin pine beds. Both bedrooms have storage and hanging space. Downstairs is the sitting/dining room, with dresser, sofa, small dining table and chairs and a bench. There is a TV/DVD player, but we don't have a tv connection; you can play dvds, from our collection, bring your own, or downloads. The kitchen is a small galley style, but has unique hand-made rustic cupboards. It has a full electric cooker and oven, fridge, microwave, and small washing machine. Crockery and cutlery for 4-6 settings or more, as well as saucepans and cooking equipment. There is a bathroom with quadrant shower, loo and handbasin, with heated radiator-towel rail. Heating is provided by radiators, and is included. At present there is a small seating area outside, with some local wood logs, as rustic seating! we intend to improve this area, with table and chairs, and a barbeque for the summer. There isn't a garden space as such, still a work in progress, but there are literally acres to explore around our land, with a stream, hillside to climb, and even more amazing views, if you make it to the top of the hill behind us. Plenty of maps, walk books, and local information available to borrow. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Discount available -10% for a booking of 4 nights or more; ex. There is no house Broadband or Wi-Fi, but if you have mobile broadband, 4G networks etc, you may well be able to access the internet, depending on the network - likewise for mobile reception; EE works well. ACCESS: Please note the last 150 yards or so of the access to our house is down an unmade track which is bumpy and usually muddy. Most cars can get up and down OK, but a car that is very low to the ground, less than 6 inches or 15cm, at the front or underneath might have problems. Walkers and cyclists are very welcome, en route, or using our home as a base.
