Villa Elpiniki is a newly-built modern villa, arranged as a complex of two buildings on one level and placed in a private plot of land (850m2). Designed, built and decorated by your host, Seva Vassilara, a renowned local architect and interior designer, the villa is a personal labor of love providing luxurious and comfortable accommodation for VIP clients, families, or groups of friends at the beautiful, cosmopolitan gulf of Ixia. The space This fully-furnished villa offers all modern facilities for a pleasant and relaxing stay, accommodates up to 6 guests +1 baby and is suitable for couples, families and group of friends. It's a great choice for short breaks or longer holidays. The aim was to create relaxing, light-filled, airy spaces that keep the white minimalism of Aegean architecture in delicate balance with comfort, luxury and a carefully selected color palette that eases the senses. The bathrooms come with hand-sculpted basins, uniquely designed for this villa and crafted as a combination of ceramic tiles and tadelac cement. Complete with original works of art by Nikos Vassilaras, artist and jeweler, villa Elpiniki is your perfect retreat. Main Building The main house is a generous 65m2 space with a big terrace (100m2) designed to create three separate private terraces: two with sea view and view to the botanical garden and a third, shaded terrace with an outdoor dining table for 6. The flat roof of the house is fully accessible, giving you the opportunity of enjoying a refreshing cocktail while taking in the evening ocean breeze and marveling at the spectacular sunsets of the gulf of Ixia with your back set against mount Filerimos. On the inside, the house has one master bedroom, one bathroom, one spacious kitchen-dining room and a living room with two sofa beds. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The use of glass as a main feature of the interior design achieves an uninterrupted visual flow to the ocean and the garden, no matter which part of the house you are in. Second Building The second house (23m2) is right next to the main one. It offers direct access to a 200m2 terrace leading up to the villa's private swimming pool that will cater for a relaxing retreat as you enjoy the experience of fragrant, traditional herbs carefully grown in the garden. Perforated walls placed on the East and West terraces cater for your privacy and protection from the sun during the day, while creating shadow contrasts against the white-washed backdrop of the interior walls. Looking to the interior, this house has one Master bedroom with a double bed and a traditional, white-washed wooden roof, one shower-room and is also fully air-conditioned. The white walls, designed to capture the light from different angles, create a joyful interplay of shadows and reflections. All essential amenities (supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, and public transportation) are within walking distance, keeping everything you might need at your doorstep. Generous parking space is provided. Your experience of the famous Greek hospitality comes complete with access to the overall estate where you can take your pick of the home-grown grapes, olives, bananas, avocados and oranges depending on the season. Guest access Villa Elpiniki is located in a secluded part of the cosmopolitan coastline of Ialisos area of Rhodes. The spectacularly blue Mediterranean touches and caresses the nearest beach 150m away – an easy walk. The entire coastline offers a menu of water activities and is very famous for water sports such as wind- and kite-surfing. It is an excellent area for long walks and hiking, all the way up to the stunning Acropolis of Rhodes, also as known as the mount of Smith, “Monte Smith”. To the south, Mount Filerimos greets you with its pine forest and scenic monastery, offering breathtaking views over the gulf of Ixia; an excellent spot for hiking and biking or simply a relaxing walk in the nature. The house is 7km (10min by car) away from Rhodes city center and interesting ancient and medieval monuments including the Medieval Old Town. There is a bus station 200m from the house, and buses every 15 min take you into Rhodes city center or to the airport.
