Are you looking for a cozy house with a deck near the center of the city of Atlanta in a quiet, safe neighborhood? Our back deck looks out on 300 feet of wild woods - a little "tree house". Perfect for couples, solo or duo adventurers or small families coming to explore Atlanta or visit family or for people coming to work in Atlanta for a longer stay. Just 2 miles from downtown in Ormewood Park, walking distance to park, playground, restaurants, coffee shop and grocery store. The space We run a professional theatre (Horizon Theatre Company, now in its 33rd season in the nearby Little Five Points/inman Park area) and live nearby our rental house where we have been for 29 years. Our place has often been used by Horizon guest artists and guests from the busy film and television industry here in Atlanta for long and short term stays. It has also been used by graduate students and academics on extended fellowship. It’s a comfortable 800 square foot, 2-bedroom house with a front yard and back deck is located in a quiet neighborhood in intown Atlanta, between Grant Park and East Atlanta areas. There is a new washer/dryer and a dishwasher. We are a short Uber or car ride from the Atlanta Zoo, Downtown and Midtown. Our place is best for those with a car or who are comfortable biking intown, but we are 1 block from bus line. There is plenty of free street parking. It's a great walking neighborhood. The best part is the deck – you can hear owls at night and birds in the morning while enjoying coffee outside. It is always hard to believe you are in the city when you sit out back. It is simply furnished, often with items that once appeared on the Horizon stage. There is a full fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer and television. We have two bedrooms in the house - 1 with a queen bed and 1 with a full bed or twin size bunk beds - long-term stay guests can choose which of these bed sizes is right for them in the second bedroom. The one bathroom has a shower and tub. We are open to hosting up to 6 guests in the house if you want to use the couch for sleeping or have kids with sleeping bags. We do not allow pets and there is no smoking allowed in the house or on the premises. There is wireless internet access. We know Atlanta well and are happy to help guide you to restaurants and arts and culture events that match your taste. Enjoy your stay with us while you work, go to school or visit Atlanta for a month or longer! Guest access There is plenty of street parking and room out back under the deck if you have bikes or recreational items. There is internet access, but no cable service.
