Our beautiful home is directly opposite the beach in the heart of historic Barwon Heads. Ballara #8 incorporates a fully restored heritage-listed 'boathouse' and features a pleasing outlook over the river with glimpses of the Port Philip Heads and the Pt Lonsdale Lighthouse. Ideal for families with an outdoor BBQ / dining area and heated plunge pool (both under cover). This house is a wonderful place to stay summer or winter, with gas log fire and airconditioning in the upstairs living area. Whether you're staying over the summer months or cosy winter ones our heated plunge pool will keep you relaxed and away from the day to day bustle. There is also a heated outdoor shower to wash away those sandy feet and a gorgeous upstairs sunroom where you can enjoy a glass of wine with lovely river views. The bedroom configuration is as follows: x1 king with ensuite x1 single, 1 bunk (two singles) x1 queen All linen and towels are included to ensure your stay is hassle free. We have a Nespresso machine, we provide a starter pack with a few pods but feel free to bring your own, otherwise our closest recommend cafe is a minutes walk away; Barwon Ebb and Flow. We have a European laundry which can be found downstairs in the hall behind the sliding cupboard doors. The location of the home is walking distance to an idyllic family beach (stand up paddleboarding is very popular), 13th beach (great for the keen surfer) and the famous Barwon Heads Golf Club. Being in the heart of Barwon Heads means that everything is a stones throw away, great coffee, lovely boutique shops and the IGA supermarket, it really doesn't get much better. Please note being opposite the foreshore and next to the hotel, the live music from the Spiegeltent and outdoor bistro area are audible from the house, especially on weekends over summer and various times throughout the year. We also have security cameras installed only at the front of the property, for the protection of the heritage listed boathouses.
