Second-floor comfortably furnished coach house. Stylish and airy space with full kitchen. Wood floors. Great views. Private in-ground 20' x 40' swimming pool. Basketball half-court. Softball diamond. Bocce, pickle ball, and bags. Fire pit. Great for bicyclists. 20 acres of woods. Fine country walks. Centrally located between New Buffalo, MI, and Michigan City, IN. Close to the Indiana Dunes, and Lake Michigan. 70 minutes to Chicago, 45 minutes to South Bend. Special Autumn Rate. Spacious great room with a sectional sofa and queen bed. Private bedroom with queen-size bed. Free WiFi and a 55" Smart TV. Blu-ray DVD Player. Queen air mattress available for children, also a nice selection of toys and books for rainy days. We have a Keurig coffee maker and supply the pods, creamers, and sugar. The kitchen is fully-stocked with everything needed for cooking and serving. There is a charcoal Weber grill at the pool for guests. We supply all the linens, bath towels, and beach towels. We welcome families. We prefer only 4 adult guests per reservation, but we don’t restrict the number of children. No parties. Owners live on premises. The beautiful Lake Michigan beach in New Buffalo, Michigan is under eight minutes away, and we are about 15 minutes from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Because of our central location between Michigan City and New Buffalo, we are near craft breweries and wineries. We have 80 acres on a country road near the Michigan/Indiana border. You sleep next to two giant cottonwood trees, one with a waist line of 274 inches. On clear nights you could spend the entire night star gazing. Where else are you going to find an Airbnb with a baseball diamond, basketball court, bags, a bocce court, in-ground swimming pool, and a Lionel Train Store with a big working layout– all on the premises? Pool opens the first week of June and closes in late September. Pool is completely private and reserved exclusively for our Coach House guests. We are in the Central Standard Time Zone (same time as Chicago). Guests have access to the entire property. Hosts live on premises and are available during your stay to help and to answer any questions you may have. Lake Michigan beaches under 8 minutes away. Two blueberry farms are located two miles east (on the way to Hesston). You can buy bags already picked or pick your own. Quiet walks. Wildlife. Bird watching. Orchards nearby. Galien River kayaking (15 minutes). Horseback riding and golf courses close by. We are not near public transportation, but the South Shore commuter train stops in Michigan City. Also Amtrak stops in Michigan City and New Buffalo, Michigan. Our area does have Uber, Lyft, and taxi service available. You will find a notebook on the coffee table which includes our rules, emergency numbers, and our local recommendations for restaurants and things to do.
