Kawazu View House is a vacation villa with western and Japanese interiors perched above the town of Kawazu with views towards to ocean and mountains. A glimpse of Oshima island to the east and Amagi san to west can be enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. It is a perfect retreat or base to explore Izu located minutes from the beaches and favorite vacation sites . It is very convenient to shopping and transport. Jim is a friendly Japanese speaking American host from his other favorite home in Hawaii. Guests have access to a large two story House with a Japanese style entry way , three separate bedrooms , a single bed, a single convertible to double bed, a master bedroom double bed and a large western kitchen and six person dining table. It includes a spacious and bright bathroom with Japanese style bath and separate shower. There are views with outdoor verandas on both floors with space for seating outside. A Japanese tatami room can be converted for an additional two futons. A toilet is on both floors. Guests have access to the entire villa. A BBQ and scenic view deck access is provided with a reservation from the host for ¥3000 Per use in the afternoon.(or evening during warmer months) Jim is available for information on a variety of activities in town and throughout Izu and Japan. The villa is in the town of Kawazu a 15 minute walk , 5 minutes by taxi or personal car from the station and convenient shopping. It is part of a vacation home subdivision. Taxi is suggested with luggage. Clear directions will be provided. Activities close by in Izu Geopark include visits to two beautiful beaches at Imaihama and Shirahama within 5-20 minutes, hiking on Amagi san and the Seven Waterfalls at Nanadaru. Other activities include snorkeling and scuba diving, bathing in outdoor onsen and fountains in Mine and Imaihama , viewing the Bagatelle rose garden, the Uehara Museum of Modern Art and Buddhist sculpture at various local temples and shrines. Transportation to activities in Shimoda Shuzenji and Matsuzaki or Izukogen can be arranged on easy day trips. Longer trips on the way to or from Izu are possible to Atami, Hakone or Odawara. Taxis based at the train station are available if necessary and bus public transport through the region is available in town. Kawazu View House has free parking for two cars. For the vigorous guests walking to and from the house to town is not out of the question. It takes 10-15 minutes though down and up a hill. The villa is fully heated and air conditioned although there is always an abundance of fresh air and the sounds of abundant birds from the IzuNational Park all around the house. Jim the host is normally in the house just down the staircase to the BBQ deck.
