The space Villa Taphros is located inside Villaggio Piras, a district four kilometers far from the port of the island, with a private location; it is the ideal home suitable for those who enjoy the quiet and intensity of an environment surrounded by an hegemonic nature. Villa Taphros is perfect to accommodate comfortably two people and it develops onto about 85 square meters comfortable floor. The large garden and the sunroom ensure guests privacy even even during the period of high tourist turnout in the period of greatest tourist flow. I have lived in this house about ten years and, recently, I spend here winter months. Villa Taphros is therefore my lair; it is a residential house and the interiors are subdivided and furnished to ensure a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. GARDEN AND SUNROOM: Villa Taphros is located in an open area, it is quiet with sea view. The house is in in a prime location sheltered from prevailing winds (Mistral and Ponente) because it is oriented toward the island of Caprera. The large garden is environmentally friendly to the Park, it is intentionally devoid of non-endemic plantings. Landscape from the garden is on the mountainous profile of Sardinian coast and it offers indelible panoramic views at sunrise and moonrise. Villa Taphros is surrounded by a comfortable terrace-area with dehors which leads inside the house through the sunroom. The sunroom is the bright heart of the villa and it is furnished with a large table for two people and a relaxation area with a sofa. The sunroom is also equipped with curtains on the entire perimeter exposed to direct sunlight and it has ceiling fan to facilitate your stay during summer months. LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN: the sunroom leads to the living room and, thanks to its width, it is very airy and bright. The furnishing layout is functional and it naturally divides the space into two areas: the dining area, adjoining the kitchen, and the relaxation area with TV and with a panoramic window that invites you to relax. To prevent summer heat, the living room is equipped with air conditioning. The modern, minimalist kitchen, although small, is practical and it is intentionally separated from the living room to ease the cooking privacy; the window and the ceiling integrated hood prevents the aromas permeate the stay; oven, dishwasher and refrigerator complete the equipments. BEDROOM AND BATHROOM: By a short vain, you enter the sleeping area; here there are two bedrooms and a bright bathroom with shower and a large window overlooking the garden. The master bedroom, with double bed, is quiet and it has a comfortable en-suite cabinet box and a window overlooking the garden. To prevent summer heat, it is also equipped with air conditioning. The second bedroom is not available to guests, thus it is locked. PARKING: Villa Taphros is equipped with a private parking space; it is few meters away from the entrance of the villa. There are no restrictions for guests. The house is the outermost of three terraced houses and the access is along a short dirt road. Other things to note Attention! IN THE ENTIRE ISLAND OF LA MADDALENA WATER IS NOT POTABLE but do not panic, it is bacteriologically in place; the problem is its high rate of metals due to plumbing system's deterioration today obsolete in the whole Island of La Maddalena. You can take a shower, brush your teeth, wash salad, fruit and laundry but it is preferable not to drink it in quantity. For those who have special needs, I recommend to use bottled water for boiling pasta. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Consumption for air conditioning use is not included in the reservation amount; the air conditioners will be turned on after your request to me and after the cash payment of a small fee calculated on the total number of days of use of the system.
