Post House Cottage - 10 Minutes to Mount Field

Accommodation located within 10 minutes drive to the spectacular MOUNT FIELD NATIONAL PARK. Cottage was built in the early 1900's in the picturesque Derwent Valley. The cottage is set on 13 acres and is private with your own fully fenced yard. We give you your privacy but if you need us, we are close by to assist. The cottage makes a welcoming break between Hobart and Strahan. Cottage caters to children over 12 years of age only. The space We are located 1 hour from Hobart. 10 minutes from the beautiful Mount Field National Park. 30 minutes from Maydena bike track. 20 minutes from the Salmon Ponds. 30 minutes from New Norfolk. Guest access Cottage is best suited to one couple, or 2 friends. Cottage is not suitable and does not accommodate children under 12 years of age. Guest have access to full cottage. Guest have their own fully fenced yard . You are welcome to feed the alpaca and sheep on the property. Guests who have longer stays -3 nights or more - are welcome to use my washing machine. Other things to note It is suggested that guest who want to cook purchase supplies at New Norfolk Woolworths supermarket as very limited supplies out this way. If coming from Queenstown there is an IGA Store there to purchase supplies. If you enjoy a bottle of wine etc, alcohol can be purchased in bottle shops in New Norfolk also.... A full kitchen with everything you will need to cook a meal. Saucepans, frypans, salad bowl etc. In the winter out this way in the country it can be hard to get a meal. Some places do close for the winter. Please take note of this. If not wanting to cook best to get some meals to heat up in oven or microwave. Certain times of the year bugs, ants etc can be around the cottage. There is fly spray if needed. Unfortunately, this is part of the country life.
