A large lawn surrounds the house. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house which is located on 6 acres of land in a rural setting 5 minutes from town. There is a small sliding hill for children and plenty of space outdoors to run around in. The property is private from its neighbors. The large garden is a work in progress. The driveway can accommodate up to 6 vehicles. It is a great place for families and friends to reconnect. Other things to note This home delights travelers through all 4 seasons and is central to many destinations. During winter months the area offers skiing, skating, sliding, and snowboarding or hot chocolate by the fire. Driving distance to 3 major ski attractions includes Sugarloaf (54 min), Sunday River (1 hr 20 min) and Saddleback (1 hr 2 min). Titcomb Mountain is a family oriented ski center which offers lessons and is only 7 minutes away. Spring offers hiking and biking, kayaking and rafting on some of the area's wild rivers. The Kennebec Highlands are practically in our backyard, only 20 minutes away. There are many mountains to climb including family friendly French's Mountain which takes 20 minutes to summit with great views of Belgrade Lakes. For more serious climbers, there is Saddleback Mountain, Tumbledown, Bald Mountain, Little Jackson, and Bigelow. Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin is just over 3 hours away. Acadia National Park is 2 hours 23 min away. When Summer arrives travelers can swim and boat in the many nearby lakes and rivers (Wilson Lake, Clearwater, Parker Pond, Belgrade Lakes, Sandy River). Autumn is spectacular in our region and the traveler can enjoy brilliant fall foliage driving down the road, hiking or biking. Sugarloaf Mountain offers chairlift rides to the summit for spectacular views of Maine's Western Mountains.
