The "Northern", our spacious 3 bdrm cabin at historic McGrath's Big Arb Resort is the entire 2nd floor of our lodge on Big Arbor Vitae lake, just 8 min north of Minocqua. Main-level mudroom for all your gear on 1090 acre Class A fishing lake, sandy beach, swim raft, big private outdoor deck, gas grill, patio table, chairs, and beautiful lake views! Great ice-fishing right outside your door & located on the main snowmobile trail. 2,3 & 7 night minimums depending on time or year...inquire within. McGrath's Big Arb Resort is a year-round, lakefront, family resort offering 8 cabins...(4) resort cabins and (4) private cabins across a quiet street with private lots and separate amenities. "Connie's Tavern" was built in the 1920's as a lakeside respite for thirsty fishermen. In the '30's, cabins were added to accommodate visiting family members eager to escape big cities for the peace, solitude and beauty of the Northwoods and "Halls Knotty Pine Tavern & Resort" was born. Time has moved on and eventually the bar was transformed into living quarters with our now "Northern" cabin added on top, but not much else has changed...the peace, solitude and timeless beauty of the Northwoods remains as enchanting as ever! All of our cabins have modern, comfortable updates, fully-equipped kitchens, with knotty pine interiors, and 4 of our units are pet friendly for an extra fee $35 day, $175/week! Our "Northern" resort cabin takes up the whole second floor of our main lodge, with a huge, private mudroom on the main level as you enter the unit (perfect for snowmobile gear, tackle, shoes/boots, etc) and a large, outdoor, private deck with gas grill, patio table, chairs, etc. The living space includes a queen sized futon in the living room, a second sofa, 40 inch TV with Roku, WiFi, gas fireplace, central air conditioning, bed linens, towels, a large fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, drip coffeemaker, toaster, all the necessary dishes and cooking utensils. *Note, this cabin is NOT pet friendly* There is private dock space, shared campfire pit area, a sandy beach perfect for little ones, swim raft, screened in fish cleaning shack with electric, heat and running hot/cold water, shared canoe, row boat and 2 kayaks. 1090 acre lake, 75% state owned means breath-taking natural beauty and no crowds! Class A fishing and all motor sports, and in winter, excellent ice-fishing right outside your door. Right on the main snowmobile trail with access to 100's of miles of snowmobile trails. Four Seasons Bar and Supperclub right next door and Slo's Pub is just a minute down the lake! 8 minutes from town of Minocqua with main street, delicious dining and shopping galore! 3 night minimum stay is for peak periods such as Jan, Feb, May, Sept, Oct and during holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE. Summer, June-August requires a Sat-Sat weekly reservation. Note: Will consider a 2 night reservation during peak periods to fill a last minute vacancy, such as a cancellation, etc...inquire within. Pontoon rental is available with advance notice for $250/day or $1100/week plus tax. The Northern cabin living space is the entire upper level (2nd floor) of the main lodge building and it also has a huge, private mudroom on the main level as you enter the cabin to store your gear, coolers, tackle, equipment, etc. There is a second rental unit that comprises the entire main level in this building, also available for rent. She will get back to you promptly and help you with anything you may need. ---This cabin features a fully equipped kitchen with hand soap and dish soap, plus all bed linens and pillows, dish towels and towels. We start you out with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 garbage bags, a roll of paper towels, 2 dish towels, 3 bath towels, but any extras are up to you! ---6 person occupancy - for any additional overnight guests, it is $35 per night per person for the first two nights. ---Pets NOT permitted in this cabin.
